My dude, presenting two irl women in the kind of shitty "Team [blank]" dichotomy usually reserved for fictional love interests aint as benign as youre making it out to be either
I can see where you're coming from, and upon reflection I can recognize that the nomenclature I used ('Team [blank]') to express my opinion was coded in a way that could be interpreted as offensive in this context. This was not my intention. While I was using terms that can be associated with all sorts of fan-culture (
not just fictional love interests) I see that my opinion was misconstrued by some because of the language I used to express it.
I do think you should've done me the justice in quoting my full statement before you began to chastise me, however. I've included it below for context:
It's not as controversial an opinion as you are making it out to be; listeners were presented with a series of episodes that had Danika in, and Danielle out. I happened to like that dynamic better. Even with four people in the podcast, that's pushing the limit as to what a podcast conversation can sound like without people talking over each other.
I am just not a fan of Danielle on the Waypoint podcast. I find it annoying as a listener how she is frequently derailing the conversation (as others have also pointed out.) Danika is not often featured on many of the episodes, but had a big presence during E3. I liked her inclusion in the conversations, and what she brought to the discussion. I am not trying to perpetuate a perspective that there is an unspoken "quota" or ratio of women that can appear on the show, or something along those lines.
