WB Mulling BATMAN BEYOND Live Action Film - Rumour. But AWESOME Rumour.

Do it. Also, cast Kevin Conroy as Bruce. I know he isn't nearly old enough, but it's probably going to need a guy made up to look older in order for him to be able to do the stuff 80 something Bruce Wayne can do.

to me this is the best idea ever,
1. holds Batman in public eye
2. Gives WB time to recast Bruce for JL
3. Give time between reboot
4. Even if people hate it you advertise the next movie as "return of the real Batman"

I dunno if I want a Justice League film in the MOS Universe. Just let them be their own things. Until I see JL being properly set up, I'd rather focus on the individual characters.

I've wanted a live action Batman Beyond movie since I saw the series so I support this idea. If they do it, and it becomes a series or a new trilogy..Return Of The Joker NEEDS to be adapted. That was so incredibly awesome.

First thing I wondered when seeing this was "Who would be a good old Bruce?". I think you have found the perfect answer here.

BB always had the potential to be a really amazing movie. Budget would be an issue though. It would take a blockbuster-level budget to do it justice, but it's an unfamiliar character in a radically different setting, and that would hamper studios' willingness to give it the money it deserves unless it had a Nolan-quality name attached to it. Which might actually work, if only because the true sci-fi setting would give Nolan a lot more wiggle room to work with the plot leaps/holes that always seem to be present in his scripts.

Michael Keaton would be pretty meh, to be honest. Plus, the studio would never do it because it would probably confuse people on continuity and its connection to Burton's Batman.

Given the timeline it would take for this to get worked out, someone should start bribing Daniel Day-Lewis to slum it in a superhero movie right now. He's got the look, the skills, and he'll be just about old enough by the time this would actually get shooting.

The real answer would be Clint Eastwood, but I think that ship has sailed.

HOLY FUCK HOLY FUCK HOLY FUCK HOLY FUCK

I personally wanted the new set of Batman films to start off with a Robin origin story, keeping Bruce/Batman kind of distant, not having to go into his origin too deeply.

But holy shit... this would be so fucking cool.

I like the choice. The visual style would be great, I think. I love the dirty, grimy way the future looks in his movies.

Sleek power armour. Something similar to the Advanced Suit in Dead Space 2 might work. Armoured, but sleek, add in tons of other gadgets, take a Shinkawa-esque design to it.

Shinkawa Batman Beyond design.......you sonofaBBBBitch. Why'd you have to go and do that to me.

just have it involve joker resurgence, introduce old person that can replace heath/nicholson joker and make the story about how terry's father was actually bruce . bring back keaton for old batman and make it the finale to that triology

I would love this so hard and its conceptually distant enough to not feel like a retread. Beyond was such an entertaining show, and futuristic Gotham will be a welcome sight after what dark knight did to begins' Gotham.

The bit about WB doing a non-linear narrative for their film universe is interesting, since they already did that with Bruce Timm's cartoons. I wonder if he'd be an executive producer on this...
