Nah... it doesnt beat the Popeyes for $3.99. I've had better spicy chicken sandwiches from local craft places places but they cost close to $10. Popeyes is king for under $5 hands down.
GTFO. Popeyes chicken is dry and nothing but salt.
Granted I know this varies from each location as they are a franchise. One by me is just awful.

Ya popeyes is the dodge viper of chicken sandwiches it's quite tasty but that's all you get. Popeyes is a hellscape every location is run like shit. Wait times are all over the place and there is no consistency in the quality.

My popeyes always used to be understaffed. Every location in my city is absolutely trash. Just the other day, Told my mom about their new fish sandwich and they made her life miserable at the drive thru. I literally went like three months where they got my order wrong every single time. sometimes they would forget fries, sometimes they would give me wings or breasts instead of thighs. sometimes they would literally run out of chicken and tell me they would have to cook up a new batch of chicken from scratch. like you didnt notice you were running out of chicken during the lunch hour rush?
thankfully with the new sandwich sales, they have finally started to hire people and drive thru lines usually move pretty fast. They are still no chick fila or McDonalds but not as bad as they used to be.
Going to chick fila is like a religious experience. You walk in and there is someone there to say hi. You have like 10 kids working behind the counter doing nothing because they already have dedicated staff for drive thrus and cash registers. when you sit down to eat they come and ask if you need ketchup or salt. everyone is super polite and happy to be working there. during the pandemic, the drive thru lines are always packed but they get the employees out on the porch to take orders and direct traffic. its so efficient I am baffled that its a restaurant. No fast food place or restaurant in the u.s is this efficient.

Chik-fil-a is pure class, and that new spicy grilled is a worthy addition to the menu. I still like the regular spicy a bit better but frying chicken is cheat mode, no shock there. The grilled is a nice change of pace when I want to eat a little healthier.

Popeyes Chicken Sanch is great but the service at those Popeyes is always atrocious. It's like I'm living in the Soup Nazi Seinfeld episode when I go there.
I get pickles half the time and I make it a point to say "No pickles" twice during my order.

Chick fila fell off really hard this past year. Not sure if they changed suppliers or what but it was consistently not very good especially compared to prior years. Haven’t even gone back in 2021 that’s how not great it was.

My sister and her husband wanted to try Popeye's sandwiches the other day when they were over. Pull up to the drive-thru at 11:30 am: "We open in an hour." They go back an hour later: "We open in thirty minutes."

Locally speaking, I was rocking the popeye's chicken sandwich regularly, but once they supposedly "re-introduced" this stupid fucking chicken fritter that looks like a hand? It replaced the usually crispy, spicy battered chicken fillets with this red hand-looking piece of reddish chicken.
Tried chik-fil-a spicy deluxe on Tuesday... now I forgot what Popeye's was... It was my first time ever eating Chik-fil-a. 9 out of 10, imo. Chicken was moist and it felt satisfying with each bite. Very tasty and less assault by the sodium gods.

I’ve been wanting to try the Spicy Grilled Deluxe from Chik-Fil-A ever since I saw it advertised on a billboard last week. I love spicy AND grilled chicken sandwiches AND chik-fil-a, so this has to be good. I’ll give it a try soon. Just hate dealing with their stupid ass outside tent drive-thru ordering process post-COVID.

Looks good, but I'm starting to think of them less of a fast-food place, at least in terms of price. I don't do fast food much anymore, but getting finished from a day of errands here recently, my wife and I went through the drive-thru, and damn, for two regular meals it was nearly $20. WTF!?

Yeah it’s a tossup between Popeyes and Wendy’s for me. They are both right next to eachother too so it’s always tough choosing. Wendy’s spicy chicken on the pretzel bun they had was so good. Popeyes though you can get some shrimp on the side delicious
