I'm debating which version of WE8 I should go with.
Currently I'm playing original WE8 JP ver.
Since I only have 2 PS2s (JP and US), I cannot play PES4, but comparable WE8 International (NA ver) is coming out.. and of course, Liveware Evolution is supposed to come out in Japan (online play only in japan, though) in March.

Then here comes the dillema. Which version of WE8 International to choose?

1. US version of WE8 International. I'm not sure how much improvement it would be from existing WE8. or even PES4.

2. Korean Version of WE8 International. Since it supports Korean, I'm not sure of how different it would be with NA release ver of WE8.

3. Japanese LivewareEvolution ver. I heard this version has serious overhaul on basic player animations, more teams, more players and more official licenses. Although it cannot be played online, but still can be played like normal WE games.

Remembering my ill-fated Korean ver of WE7 International, which eventually became 2-3 month stop gap from ultimate WE7 International JP ver, so I have bad memory regarding that game, and although I am a WE fan, I won't buy all of their WE Internationals.

I'm leaning towards to LE version.. hoping it would be the ultimate ver of WE8 Int. (It supports multi-language anyhow) - but does anyone have any info on what's the exact difference between WE8, PES4, WE8 Inter (NA), WE8 Inter (Kor), and WE8 LE (JP)?

Fu*king Konami and it's milking habbits.. It would affect me greatly to which version to choose, because I am in a league with my friends...

as far as I know, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Xbox version would be online.

Yeah... I figured that LE would be the best out of whole bunch. It's not fair that JP always get the best final evolution. Why won't they release world-wide, like any other games? Sheesh...

If you have the choice, always go with the Japanese version. It's usually the last one out and always the one with all the major updates.

its such a fantastic game, but the extensive menus and options make it much less import friendly. (they dont have multiple language options in WE8, do they?)

that and we need online support.

the US needs some WE lovin dammit!

The latest version to be released in March in Japan (WE8 Liveware Evolution) has multi-language support (English, French, Spainish, Italian, German, etc.) as well as online play, but not sure if you can play online outside of Japan.

I'd wait for LE, but if you want one now, J-League WE8 is the best option. It plays incredibly fine and it's perfectly balanced. And it's focused on asian teams but there're euro teams as unlockables.
