I may be thinking of something else, but I believe the only addition is pressing R2 now gives you a more controlled shot (a huge addition, nonetheless). The power meter and direction stuff has always been there.

OK maybe I have the wrong idea then. Sometimes I find its difficult to buffer the aim of a shot in the opposite direction you're dribbling, especially under fire against a good defender. It looked like this might help that but perhaps not.

That manual pass vid is plain nasty, although I think he was up against Iran in a couple of those highlights. Id like to see that with Norwich vs. Milan on 6 star.

Also the movement seemed sped up a good deal, anyone else get that impression?

Where the hell did you get that? I've been trying to play like that for years...

Is it highlighting the new manual passing stuff in WE9 or just someone showing off? Very rarely could I ever do stuff like that in previous WE games, but that could just be me.

I don't even use the manual pass. In fact, I don't know how to since the right analog stick is now used for the 360 spin (waste!). Do you click it down or something?

Well, PC version. I think the PS2 game was slower because of hardware issues.

That video is incredible. I've been playing PES and ISS before it for years, and thought I was pretty good, but that is a whole new level.

I was mistaken regarding R2 lobbing shoot. I meant R1 chip-shot... Which means, shoot+R2 doesn't really affect anything but minor trajectory adjustments when compared to previous versions. I actually welcome this addition of more controled R2 shooting.

Anyhow, in previous WE's R2 did affect trajectory of the balls (as most of you guys probably know already), especially during dead-ball situation.
