This week we will discuss what we think are the biggest blemishes on Robocop's distinguished career.

And of course, Robocop on WCW.

That about covers it for the shames of Robocop, as far as I can tell. Anyone?

I think his hand gesture says it all. That or the jetpack or awesome arm cannon attachement.

oh, when my mom was taking me to Discovery Zone, and he decides he can just Robocop a feel

ill tell you, i did not like how that cold steel felt

Robocop came to my school when I was a kid and told us all about the dangers of doing drugs. Then we all got 'prototype' low-fat twinkies and McDonalds. I've still got the certificate of "Robocop's Anti-Drug Warrior" stoved away somewhere.

It was actually a pretty flashy presentation, and other then a kind of too-shiny veener on his plating, he looked just like he did in the films. It was awesome.

Did he shoot anyone?

They just show Robocop : Prime Directives yesterday on tv around here. i only catch the end but OMG CRAPOLLA TOTAL.

2 Robocops + a girl running at high speed + Murphy son has become a bad guy + shao kahn wannabe bad guy with a flamethrower + lots of crappy CGI + the art direction of a blind man + .... I was sorry for Robocop

Whichever Robocop had the black robocop and the white one and the lightning guns and I remember a woman dressed weird and then there was dudes in cheap looking uniforms and bolts of energy and the robocop(s) kept getting zapped over and over again for what felt like 30 minutes and the woman was yelling and I think black robocop snapped out of it or something.

I was kinda blazed, and it was a while ago, but that's what I remember.

Wouldn't RoboCop's shames be pretty much everything except the first movie?

Although the RoboCop arcade game and RoboCop vs. The Terminator for Genesis were both pretty good, I suppose.

Eh, Robocop 2 is enjoyable in its own right. All the ultraviolence of the original and none of the soul. Phil Tippet's stop-motion stuff in it still looks pretty awesome to me to this day. Plus a big chunk of it was shot right here in H-Town, some of it in the George R. Brown convention center, I believe.

Rip Torn was in RC3? Now I HAVE to watch it.
there's a halfway neat car chase, and its sometimes a little bit funny. But honestly its not worth the effort to track it down. Your overall impression of the materpiece that is Robocop will be better off without it.

No one mentioned this?

In the machine-dominated future of 2029, a human rebel gains access to the Skynet computer's Time Displacement Equipment and sends herself into the past on a desperate mission to kill officer Alex Murphy, a.k.a. RoboCop. But Skynet is onto her plan and dispatches a trio of Terminators to the past as well. The Terminators' mission: protect RoboCop at all costs. Just what the heck is going on here?

rvt2.jpg

Enter the weird, psychedelic mindscape of RoboCop's computer brain as he searches for a way to prevent the machine-ruled future of the Terminators from ever coming into existence. There's only one solution-Robocop must die!

rvt3.jpg

After encoding his own personality and programming directly into Skynet's memory banks, RoboCop plays a deadly hide-and-seek game with the master computer bent on destroying all organic life on Earth. Is RoboCop beaten? Don't place any bets until you see the "RoboCop of the future"!

rvt4.jpg

Trapped in the machine-ruled time of the Terminators, the newly constructed RoboCop of the future launches a full-scale war against the forces of Skynet. But that's just the first step for RoboCop: the final phase comes when he uses Terminator technology to send himself back to his own time to destroy not only the as-yet-unaware Skynet computer, but himself as well.

Robocop disturbed me as a kid, mainly because I lived in Detroit when I saw it. There are some classic parts in the movie ("bitches, leave"), and some great action scenes, but overall it's not that great. Sure Robocop 3 sucked...but Robocop 1 isn't worth bragging about either.

Robocop always was a runt franchise to me. There were two awesome Terminator movies, while Robocop kinda staggered around unloved. But, I guess Robocop should feel special that White Man understands him.:lol
