Furiosa is amazing, it's a shame it probably killed the franchise

I don’t like that the creators don’t trust the audience enough to call a movie or show by its title rather than directly trying to link it to something else.
Should have just called it Furiosa.

House of the dragon didn’t need to be a Game of thrones subtitle.

Rings of power didn’t need the LOTR.

Trust the audience to not be retarded.

Felt like an overachieving straight-to-DVD sequel. At least we got the first one. When one wants to go back and watch a Miller Mad Max, we're all probably just going to watch the first one. I doubt Furisoa gets many replays.

I've watched Road Warrior the most, by far, followed by the first Mad Max, Thunderdome, Furiosa then Fury Road which I've watched twice so far.
It's cool to see the first one is still popular.

I actually had no interest in seeing this movie. For whatever reason I was expecting a significant drop off from the last one. But I was way wrong. Not only is it one of my favorite movies of the year, I actually liked it more than Fury Road.

It's a great movie, but in the end it's just the known backstory of another movie. It's not exactly an exciting sell, no matter how good the execution was.

Very ambitious prequel but damn the CG just constantly pulled me out of the big set piece scenes.
Yeh I liked it, but man the CGI was horrible. It's the first time in a very very long time where I actually thought 'damn that looks rough'. I mean obviously older movies look way more basic and rough compared to what is out there now, but I actually went and looked up what the budget was for this movie after watching it wondering whether it was done on a shoestring budget or something and nope, it had the same budget, it just didn't look it. I completely get why some people thought this felt like a 'straight to DVD' like sequel.

Outside of that though, I thought it was still a good movie. I like the universe and characters; like Fury Road, I can go without their being a 'Mad Max' character. Personally felt like Max shouldn't have even really been in Fury Road either given Furiosa was a much more fleshed out character in that film.

It is a good movie, it's not as good as Fury Road.

I really hope another with Tom Hardy is made, but not holding my breath.

It was absolutely fantastic as a film but it should have been filmed in tandem with Fury Road like Miller wanted.

It would have had more consistent special effects and been a large epic while the hype was still high for more Mad Max.

I thought it was a decent film and loved Chris Hemsworth in it. I just wasn't hyped for it. I didn't need an origin story based on a character I had no desire to know more about from Fury Road. It sucks that it bombed at the box office and will probably be the reason we may not get another film but the route Miller should have gone was a follow up to Fury Road. I thought Hardy was great as Max and it's too bad we won't get another film with him reprising the role.

If Fury Road came out today you'd all be complaining about the cartoony ragdoll at the end of the storm, the CGI wheels or the awful green screen.

I liked the movie a lot and I am very picky when it comes to Hollywood. I still don't understand why this movie was bashed so hard.

Furiosa is an acceptable addition for showing us expanded lore of the regions and characters that were introduced in Fury Road. I enjoyed it, it has its own tone that is very different from Fury Road. To me, Dementus is Chris Hemsworth's best acting performance/role to date. I'm not crazy about Marvel movies so I'm indifferent about him as Thor. I would've preferred to see Charlize reprise the role of Furiosa, but understandably so, she is too old now to portray the character in her origin story. Anya Taylor-Joy was just ok as Furiosa imo.

It'll indeed be a shame if The Wasteland doesn't happen because Furiosa didn't do well in theaters.
