Weird Ad On Youtube

For the past few days I've been getting a weird AD at the beginning of 1 out of every 4 youtube videos on my desktop even though I have Adblock plus installed.

The AD is just a white background with a "watch it", not advertising anything in particular, it's just there. I can skip it, but it's annoying and shouldn't be there. Anybody seen this before? How do I get rid of it?

I've been shopping online a lot due to the quarrantine and Im thinking maybe that has something to do with it but IDK. I'm not seeing them on mobile.

Lol ads.

If you're using Adblock Plus stop. That company is paid to show ads as far as I know.

Get Ublock.

Then go into settings, filter lists, click on the + to show hidden lists, you can enable most of them, i've found that the filter lists from JAP and KOR block some stuff that you probably don't want blocked so leave those unchecked.

Gotchu, but I been using adblock plus for years and never had a problem with ads. I'll try Ublock.

This Ad just seems strange to me, it's not like a normal ad. It just....appeared out of nowhere.

I may be wrong but admitting you use Adblock can get you banned or I remember a user being told not to as the site uses revenue from the ads.
So why not get gold ?

We'll I get 0 ads with Ublocks advanced mode on youtube right now so give it a shot.

The only place I remember getting ads for a while was twitch, but that was eventually sorted out as well.

The ad is probably weird because it's being partially blocked.

It's almost like it's designed to get your attention.

Yeah no shit. But it's the only AD that creeps through and the only AD I've seen in years since using AD block plus. Anyway I just installed Ublock and it seems to have stopped for now so thank you to who suggested that.

If you happen to get one of those "adblocker detected" overlays you can usually block them aswell by just right clicking, selecting block element and choosing the overlay.
