Got an email from my sons school tonight that one of his “close contacts” has tested positive for COVID.

My daughter and I both self isolated near the end of Sept when we were extra sick with a cold and came back negative, after getting tested and being told to self isolate.

Now it looks like we are going back in again.

Somebody send help, I almost lost it last time.

14 days. At least this time we are all in it together.

Last time it was just me in my room. After day 3 all games. Tv shows, movies and books were boring. Everything I used to like just sucked.

My sleep habits got fucked and it all kind of started blending into the same day.

I still haven’t fully recovered from it, and I won’t be soon.

I would have been nice if they could have waited until the new machines came out, and that way I’d have new tech to play with while down, but instead my 2 weeks just got longer.

I did once already.

We quarantined, because we were sick (but not with COVID). This time we are all healthy, but COVID is going through the school amd my son is a confirmed close contact and if you ignore isolation rules you are subject to a 1000 fine.

You need a personal project to give yourself. Something that you can work on during part of the day, which will keep you engaged for a period, then use entertainment to act as a counterbalance.

Just as a suggestion maybe look at some personal organisation software like Notion for instance

Also, check the reviews and course length, since basically anyone can declare themselves an 'instructor' and put a course on there (hence the certificate being meaningless).
