WETA selling a replica prop from Arwen fighting at Helm’s Deep

Prop from a deleted scene, which would’ve caused people to throw fits in 2002 had it remained in the film.

You can still see Arwen in the background of one shot in the released film.

I don’t mind most of the changes. Watching the extended version behind the scenes, a lot of the changes made sense.
Like Frodo not sitting on the ring for years after knowing what it was.
The movies are great I love them. The books are better but nothing in the movies ruined the overall narrative.

Except for poor Tom Bombadil. Ghosted by Jackson.

Nope, Frodo didn't know what the ring was during that time. And neither did Gandalf. Gandalf spent those years researching and trying to find Gollum

In the movie. In the book he knew what it was a didn’t start his journey until years after. After Gandalf pointed it out. They pointed this out in the documentary of FOTR movie

Incorrect. In the book, Frodo gets the ring from Bilbo after their birthday party. Gandalf then spends 17 years researching and whatnot because conventional wisdom, as pushed by Saruman, was that the ring washed down the Anduin into the ocean and was lost forever. Then comes back to the shire and tells Frodo that Bilbo's ring is the one ring.

Where I think you're confused is what happens next. Gandalf thinks it is important that Frodo is low-key and not suspicious because as far as he knows, Sauron doesn't know where the Shire is. So they come up with a plan to have Frodo sell his house and move to the border as a cover for his disappearance. But this is only like 3 or 4 months.

Damn. I may have been mistaken. Just remember it differently. I’ll have to re read the book.

I'd buy a lot more from Weta if their shipping costs weren't insane.
Cheapest things from the current end of line sale:

BUT THEN:

This is crazy. They were much lower when the Hobbitses were coming out, got some cute souvenirs back then. They don't even do combined shipping anymore.
No wonder their end of line page looks pretty much the same as it did two months ago lol

I work for a shipping company. I'm about to charge someone $246 dollars to same day a 2 lb part.

Man those elves arriving at Helms Deep is one of the most epic moments in the entire movie saga, come on now. That shit was hype as fuck.
Great scene, doesn’t bother me, but not in the book. In the book Helms Deep is to show that the age of man is upon them and man must meet the challenge to hold back the tide of evil.

Those prices seem pretty standard for international shipping.

I've seen far, far worse.

I’m glad they removed her from Helms Deep. If this was 2022, it would have been her and Galadriel and Eowyn leading the charge while Theoden and Aragorn think that Saruman has not betrayed them.

Looking forward to Amazon’s LotR remake / adaptation that retcons the story so that it aligns with whatever devilry conjured up in Rings of Power.

Yeah those international shipping costs seem okay.

Paying 25 quid for a Japanese bluray and expecting to get hit with customs 😢
