What are you playing now?? (GameCube)

nothing at the moment. After finishing RE4 I am playing my PS2. Will probably get back to the cube in a few days. Likely start Metroid Echoes or Baiten Kaitos depending on how I feel.

Pikmin 2
I'm a stickler for whatever reason about getting all the treasures before I move on to a new dungeon or area. The game is pretty fun, I wish there were more puzzles and less enemies however. I hate seeing my pikmin bite the dust. I believe Ive lost over 500 Pikmin already, with about 135 treasures found. Those damn rock bombs took out about 50 pikmin once, and a few bosses rolled on 40 or so a few times. There's nothing sadder than seeing half your army getting crushed by a rolling rock... you just sit there and gasp as your precious pikmin evaporate. :(

Buahahahahaha! Heheheh. Been there, done that. Pikmin 2 is a great game.
I was happy that the game wasn't over when I got 100% of the debt paid off. That whole bit was funny too. Louie alone on earth was funny

I am playing through The Ocarina of Time for the very first time on the Zelda Collector's Disc. I have beaten every other Zelda except for this one and MM, and I have finally repented of my serious wickedness in not playing this awesome game sooner. (I did not own an N64 in its heyday.) I'm at the very end, but I have 3 heart container pieces left and 13 gold Skulltullas. Gotta kill 'em all!

Next is Majora's Mask. I've played the beginning a little and it seems totally awesome, but I've read some pretty mixed opinions about it.

OMG you haven't played OoT or MM? What the hell were you playing back in the N64 and PS1 era? And I still need to finish MM, loved the atmosphere in that game and how the town seems so lively.

Playing RE 4 as always. Also going through Viewtiful Joe 2 for a third time and Baten Kaitos is eating up a lot of my time.

Yeah, I know, I suck. I started college in the Fall of '95, and pretty much got out of games from 96-99. I got an NES back in '87, and was HEAVILY into gaming growing up, but when college started, I was surprisingly disciplined (at the beginning) with my schoolwork, and let games slip to the side. Starting this past summer, though, I've been making up for lost time, playing through some awesome games. I did purchase a PS1 in '98 or so with SotN, and that pretty much reminded me how awesome gaming was, much to the detriment of my schoolwork. I have quite a PS1 library, but I looked at the N64 back then as a joke, obviously I was sorely mistaken. These days, I'm back in full swing, and stay fairly current with desirable new releases, squeezing in classics that I haven't played as time permits.

What I have found interesting is how the classics that I haven't yet played can still be so awesome, even if I've played lots of current games. I played through Sunshine first, then went back and played Super Mario 64, and loved every second of it. I also played through Super Mario RPG and Yoshi's Island for the first time last summer, and completely adored both games. To me, it just proved the timeless quality of a good game.

Is VJ2 worth buying now that it should be cheaper? I own and didn't get to finsih the first one and the sequel felt as though it came too soon.

Hell yes! You really should finish the first one and even though the second isn't as good as the first one, it is still an awesome game. VJ 2 is a little bit easier IMO but I like the addition of Sylvia and the humor is great as always. You can probably find it for dirt cheap now and you should definetly not pass it up.

Going through RE4 for the 3rd time while also occasionally playing The Mercenaries missions. This game IS GOTG. I've never played a single player game through more than once.

Beat RE4, so I went back for a 2nd game of Wind Waker.

holy fuck, that game is amazing. If only there wasn't a triforce shard hunt at the end...almost surpasses OoT. :o

Still playing Re4 quite a bit.

I want to finish Pikmin 2 and go through some levels of Super Mario Sunshine as well. I have a week off from school so I'm sure I'll get to it.

Nothing. I would like to play Metroid Prime Echoes and Tales of Symphonia. But I don't want to play them $50 badly.

Just picked up Jak3 for PS2. Seems to be easier and faster paced than Jak2. I'm at ~20% in 1 hour of gameplay. At this rate I'll beat it in 5, whereas Jak2 took over 10.

I've started to replay Paper Mario 2 and remember just how well written (and translated by NOA) the game really was, very humorous.

I mean, how can you not like Lord Crump???

"Buh huh huh huh"
"Magnus von PUNISH!"
"And with that........POW! I'm gone!"

Paper Mario: TTYD

I am in the
X-Naut Base
. (Chapter 7)

Afterwards, I think I will work on Symphonia, or open up my Baten Kaitos.

I just got Starfox Assault for some multiplaying fun because someone went half and half with me ($45 at Walmart), and I'm surprised how much I like the game. So far I think the impressions and reviews I've read are a bit harsh and unfair. The overall gameplay definitely isn't as tight or consistent as Starfox 64, but there's a hell of a lot more to the basic gameplay in SFA. Plus, I've always loved the idea of a person on foot fighting someone in an arwing, and this game expands on it very well. The only thing more I could have asked for was branching levels with different outcomes based on what you do, a la Starfox 64.

Namco did a great job with the music, harkening back to Starfox 64. I always appreciated Kondo's compositional skills with that soundtrack, even if the sound quality was poor. In SFA, the composer brought out the epic atmosphere of the music and used it wonderfully. The continuity in story also works about as well as it could have, and the voices are actually a lot better than Starfox 64 (I expected worse, and I liked Starfox 64's voice work). The series is definitely not dead, if you ask me. It's still a great shooter and it's still great fun.

I'm playing RE4 exclusively right now... once I'm done, I'll finish Paper Mario, Pokémon Colosseum, Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy and Pac-Man World 2.

I want to buy Baten Kaitos, Viewtiful Joe 2, Jungle Beat and Prince of Persia 1.

I too am starting Ocarina of Time for the very first time thanks to the GC compilation disc. During the N64/PSX era, I was in high school and I had taken a break from videogames. I grew up with Atari and Sega and Nintendo, but I never purchased a N64 or PSX. The only game I ever played at the time was when I borrowed my friend's PSX so I could play FFVII. I didn't get back into gaming until I started college and the Dreamcast was released.

As for what I'm playing:
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Star Fox: Assault
Resident Evil 4

RE4 stole my time away from Paper Mario and MP2, but now that I've beaten RE4 for the second time I think I can go back to Paper Mario. Prime 2 lost me at that stupid artifact hunt.

RE4 Merc, trying to get 5 stars with Leon, Ada and Hunk. After I've done that I don't know... probably more RE4!

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes - onto second energy generator
Paper Mario - Chapter 3
Resident Evil - Chapter 1-4

I dropped all of these games at these points because I picked up a Nintendo DS VIP pack off the official site. I've been playing Mario 64 and the Wario/Metroid demos constantly.

Mario 64 DS - 85 stars
Wario demo - highest level reaches = 58
Metroid Prime Hunters demo - all challenges completed

I'm gonna go back to Resident Evil 4 and Paper Mario this week. I think I'm going to start a new MP2:E game completely because I've forgotten a lot about where I am.

Just finished RE4, so I'm currently playing the Mercenaries mode that was unlocked. Going to start re-playing my other GCN game and I also need to pick up some that I've missed or need to rebuy (MGSTT, SSBM, Metroid Prime 2, Donkey Konga, etc.)

Just finished Donkey Kong Jungle Beat and Paper Mario 2. Now I'm playing "Swiff the dust over the GC" because the TV in my flat doesn't run 60 Hz so Metroid Prime 2 has to wait... I think I won't be able to find time to plug the system until RE4 mid-march... It is part of my crappy life...

I am playing nothing on the GC and, to be honest, I can't really think of any additional games coming up that I want to play. :(

Animal Crossing EVERY SINGLE DAY. The only NES-game I haven't found yet is Golf. I might take a pause when I find it.

I've also been playing Metroid Prime 2 heavily the last month. I reached the last boss yesterday, so now I just need to muster up enough courage to really go for it.

After that, I'll start on Tales Of Symphonia, while playing DK Jungle Beat and Zelda Four Swords on the side. Pikmin 2 will have to wait until I've completed TOS.

Completed Paper Mario a couple of weeks back. Crackin game.

I'm currently playing through Resident Evil 4 - I'm on Chapter 2-3 at the minute. So far, I'm just amazed at how good it is. I was expecting a good game, I'm a fan of the series, but when the reviews and impressions started rolling in, they exceeded everything I hoped for. Having played it myself now - I can only agree.

My Xbox and PS2 aren't here at the minute, I moved recently, but I play Winning Eleven in work all the time on PS2. I really want to pick up Knights of the Old Republic 2 though. Still, I have Tales of Symphonia, Metroid 2 and a few others in my backlog of games until I can get them down.

Double Dash!! and Ocarina of Time. Got both in the Pak with my new Platinum GC. I'm pleasantly surprised by Mario Kart and almost regret putting it on auction. Trying to get that gold car before the auction ends :P

Got PSO Plus and Ep. III coming next week, so I'm set for a while.

biohazard 4 - Playing Ada The Spy
biohazard - Just finished Jill's game today. Might play as Chris or move onto biohazard 0.

I need to finish up Star Fox Adventures or Paper Mario 2 sometime, too.

RE4. Haven't been compelled to play the game for a while... don't really know why... I plan to change that this weekend though :).

Hey, it's nice to see I'm not the last person on Earth to play Ocarina. I actually finished it a couple of nights ago, it was an awesome game. I even got all those freaking gold skulltullas too. I'm going through Majora's Mask now, I have to say it seems a little weird after Ocarina, but very cool at the same time. I recommend you play when you get done with Ocarina (I figure you probably were going to anyway).

Been playing Baten Kaitos for a few hours, beat Giacomo and made it to the second continent. Not sure if I'm feeling the game, but the graphics sure are lovely and the battle system has started to grow on me! Tis a shame since I had very high hopes for this game when the first screenies dropped.

I pop in Sonic Heroes for a couple of stages of play every now and then, I don't have much problem with the character switching, and some of the levels are excellent and inventive.

Gave Starfox Assault a rent not too long ago, and I think I'll buy it, I like how they packed in so many unlockable extras, and the gameplay was pretty good in general.

I also rented NBA Street Vol. 3 a few days ago, tried it for about 20 minutes, and haven't played it since. I'm never much into sports games anyway, I mainly just gave it a shot after all the praise it received, and to see the Allstars in action.

Past that, I've got a game or two from Xmas I've been meaning to get into, primarily Tales of Symphonia, which I didn't get to play long on my initial rental (but I liked what I played).

Last game that I played was Resident Evil 4 - went through the whole game all over again. I was really surprised at how many things caught me off guard because I figured I knew the whole thing down pat.

I was a huge fan of Metroid Prime, but Echoes felt just like more of the same. I put this one down to finish RE4. Finally I beat the final two bosses of MP2 and I was pretty dissapointed in the ending. Still a quality game though.

I'm thinking of picking up Star Fox Assault, but I'd rather wait for the price to drop on this one.

I play Pikmin 2 from time to time because it's so vastly different from anything out there. A great relaxing time-killer.

Still have to beat Prince of Persia: Sands of Time and Super Mario Sunshine. Everytime I pick up SMS I end up putting it down because it just doesn't grab me like Mario 64 did.

Playing Paper Mario 2, and the dialogue is great. It's humourous without being too silly. Bowser is now officially my favourite Mario universe character (sorry Yoshi!) "They'll call me the King of talking to posters!" :lol And I was rolling on the floor at the Bowser platformer bits.

RE4

Finished the game on normal and playing it through again on Pro. I've got 5 stars on most stages of Mercenaries and have finished Assignment Ada.

I want to pick up Star Fox Assault but my Xbox backlog is ridiculous. Halo 2, Everything or Nothing, PoP 1 + 2 and more.

I'm on a huge GC kick lately after a few years of neglect. Thank RE4 for bringing it out of the dust again. Recently I've picked up Viewtiful Joe, Pikmin 2, Metroid Prime 1+2, and I've never finished Wind Waker so I'm giving that a go.

Bought Pikmin 2 yesterday. Awesome game if only IT DIDN't NEED 27 fucking blocks...Shit...Now I'll have to buy a new memory card.

Yeah, I think i've already posted in this thread but I just want to say that Pikmin 2 is a wonderful game, I can't wait to get back to playing it once I'm done with my hw...
