What are your expectations for the next Mass Effect game?

I used to associate Bioware with quality writing. Now i associate Bioware with top scars. My expectations for the next entry is that the cyborg Andrew Wilson won't allow em to release another virtue signaling shitshow, so i am not expecting the next Mass Effect to be woke, but when it comes to writing and gameplay, it will be as shitty as Andromeda, because they have no talent to produce a quality game, so no matter how hard they try, they can't achieve anything. Game will sell poorly, laughed out of the room, and this will be the last game made by Bioware, because the studio will be shut ~9 months after. It is what is.

We have Larian, so everything will be fine.😍

I have none. Bioware has proven on several occasions that they are incapable of making a good game anymore.

I think The Expanse: Osiris Reborn can be a far better ME than ME5. Larian is top tier, but Owlcat is entering the big leagues too.

My expectations are, to quote a Type O Negative song title, less than zero.

The talent that created and nurtured the original games are long gone. All that's left is a husk of a studio chasing trends and "modern audience" nonsense to try and remain relevant. Frankly I wish they'd just pull the plug on it and not taint the legacy of the original trilogy with modern AAA slop. It took them years and an original trilogy remaster to get rid of the stink of Andromeda.

No expectations because the old Bioware is dead. We now have a "new" Bioware trying to copy past success, headed by people who probably have severe gender identity crisis.

Of course I want to believe in the best, but after their previous games, I'm already mentally preparing myself for this...

supposedly Bioware brought in the Mass Effect team to help on Veilguard, and they were responsible for the best parts of the game (including the ending sequence which is supposed to be pretty good).

So that gives me a tiny sliver of hope at least.

If it does come out, I think the woke elements will be toned down due to Dragon Age: Vielguards backlash, but it won't be enough to save the studio because all of the real talent left Bioware 15+ years ago.

Bioware is done for.

That is what they want you to think. I even see that team posting on twitter about how wrong the DA team was for not focusing on what made DA:O so great. They will do everything in the next few years to give you an illusion of them understanding what people want from the next Mass Effect game. But you have to remember whom worked on Anthem and Andromeda, so if they're still giving you a sliver of hope, you need to extinguish it before it's too late.

This. I don't think Bioware can do anything right at this point. My hopes are on Owlcat.

I've honestly lost all faith in BioWare. I expect nothing. I skipped the new dragon age game. Andromeda was a boring Mass effect game.

I almost don't want to witness how bad they are going ruin My beloved mass effect series.

I think it will be better than Veilguard, but I don't have high hopes for it
The recent reporting on Veilguard made it seem like the Mass Effect team is more competent, and they do have Mary DeMarle who had senior narrative roles in Guardians of the Galaxy and the newer Deus Ex games, both of which I liked.

But I also think desperately trying to tie it closer to the OG trilogy won't work (just like most forced sequels), and I don't think it will be able to fully escape the "woke" and lame trappings of current western media .

One one hand I want to believe them. One of the ME guys said last year the next game will darker and grittier vs Andromeda.

Then again, I'll decide on my own when I see the game and reviews.

Worst gif ever for a game. Whomever at Bioware made a character looking like that should had been fired asap.
