No way dude. Dean would just get angry about being exploited and eat Dubya's head. Then people would understand that Liberals aren't pussies, and a golden age of peace, love, understanding and potential nuclear warfare would be ushered in. With Dubya, we just get the last one.eggplant said:bush could just as easily exploit Dean's supposed anger issues or liberal image

LET ME DREAM! I've only got four more days or so until this horrible, abortive campaign for the Presidency in this hellish year of our Lord, 2004, comes to a close. Bush is going to make Kerry look like an asshole in the debate. Just wait. It will all be over...Hitokage said:Uh, remember the McCain/Bush primary?
Uh huh, which is exactly why Bush wiped the dust off his COMPASSIONATE CONSERVATIVE banners.Ripclawe said:Dean would have gotten torn apart with ease especially if he kept playing to the liberal base after the primaries.
Here's the thing: sooner or later, someone is going to stand up to the Right Wing Smear Machine and not stand for being called "liberal" in a derogatory manner. I actually saw Dean do it during the Dem. convention when he was being interviewed, and someone asked if he was too liberal. He said, "My state had a balanced budget because I stood up to my state Senate and House. Is that 'liberal'?" He just had a great way of not allowing himself to be pigeonholed. I still say I'd prefer him over Kerry as a candidate.Jim Bowie said:Liberal is pretty much a given anyways in democrat v. republican debates.
That's exactly what I was thinking as I was reading the article.Hitokage said:Reality presents little restriction here.![]()
Bush made out like a war hero against two men who had served in vietnam. How high could they elevate him against a man who didn't even go?Dean's lack of a war record might have actually helped him.

Raoul Duke said:In all seriousness, the McCain/Bush debates were some of Dubya's only "bad" debate performances, in that he didn't make McCain look like an asshole. Dubya looked downright uncomfortable debating McCain. I bet he would have fared poorly against Howard(and Nader would make him cry like a little girl), but it's too late for that shit now. Dumb fucking Democrats.
