for me it would have to be SSX3. There is no racing or tricks based game that even comes clost to this game. I thought i would hate it but as i kept playing and unlocking new tracks on the mountain. The sense of speed and wonder as you zipped down the whole mountain with extremely high jumps just had me in Awe.


shame about the music tho.

My girlfriend would say SSX Tricky, it totally blew her out!

Personnally, I would say 007: EoN. EA Games (EA-made of course) aren't impressive most of the time but I really liked this one. 007 in 3rd person was really cool!

For other not-EA made, well there are Burnout 3, The Sims, etc...

I'd agree...SSX3. It utterly destroys anything similar. I laugh a little out loud when people talk about 1080 in comparison. It's supplanted the Tony Hawk games for the best purely fun representation of extreme sports games in my mind.

LOTR: ROTK is also incredibly good. It's an amazing integration of a movie license with a fun, challenging beat-em up type game.

Hatred some people have for them aside, I also believe their football and boxing games are really excellent. And MVP 2005 is one of the finest baseball games I've ever played. A lot of these titles are marred by the asstacular EATRAXHOMEBOY presentation that they needlessly stick on them.

It will also be on all 3 current systems. Of course the Xbox360 should be quite a bit better looking. AFAIK (I could be wrong on this one though) X360 is the reference platform on this game too.

I can only imagine how much more enjoyable the EA stuff would be without the terrible music. The recent titles go so far as to have these HUGE banners pop-up when the music tracks start, to the point that when you're on the *initial screen* of the game you can't even see the Press Start prompt because it's too busy telling you that Puff Daddy is peforming a shitty song for you

Now before you say "BUT CRITERION"...

Look at Burnout 1 and 2 and then 3. Burnout 1 and 2 were good games, and Criterion is a talented developer, but the House That Madden Built definitely had a big part to play in making BO3 what it was. It has many elements of the "EA BIG" style. Just my two cents.

Runner-up would be Fight Night Round 2.

The Tiger Woods games are also excellent. Great fun for four players. especially if you mix in some beer!

MVP Baseball last year. Haven't played this year's edition yet, but that was one of the best baseball games I ever played. Such great pitcher/batter battles. I've had countless memorable games with my brother and friends. Just an awesome game.

I love the game. Still think SSX3 is a touch better. I wish EA would stop with the Underground crap and go back to the hot pursuit games. Such a rush playing that game.
