Superbit = marketing ploy

Superbit films have no extras on the disc so the disc can have higher bitrate video and audio...in theory. In practise, the bitrate is no higher than a regular DVD although superbits do generally have a fantastic picture quality

tbh unless you're watching on a 50" screen, I doubt you'd even be able to tell the difference. I have a couple of Superbit discs and, although they're excellent, they're no better than some of my other DVDs for picture/audio

95% of the Superbits out do have higher video bitrate and unless you are watching it on a 20" TV without a prog scan player, you CAN tell the difference.

This site is really good with comparisons between discs, and even uses a handy program that displays the video bitrate for most discs:

Ya but they have been using the SuperBit name to sell empty DVD's or just release a SuperBit and no regular for comparison. Adaptation, Panic Room, Brown Bunny come to mind.
