Wrapped up Episode 1 of Life is Strange 2 today. Mixed reaction. I really dig the styling, animation and narrative drive of the title, on the negatives, it feels a little on the nose with the broad brush political commentary with whitey being largely portrayed as the worst, bar a chubby beta you fall in with during the latter part of the game. Still gripes aside I'm looking forward to playing more and possibly replaying it to see what I may have missed out on.

I finally got sick enough of Red Dead to just quit.

I have never completed A Link to the Past so I'm playing that now on my Analogue Super NT.

After that, I may go to Shadows of the Colossus or Breath of the Wild...

RDR2: Chapter 6

And then anything faster pace after I beat this. I respect the game for being visually impressive and a wide open, dynamic world with many moving parts, but god damn. The pacing of this game and basic movement is wearing down my patience.

Tried "Grim Dawn" for the first time, and even if it is a bit rough around the edges and the whole building part, that is teasered with those bridges and so on, is not my cup of tea, it scratches nicely on the iso-action-RPG-itch. Does anybody know something similar for the PS Vita that is NOT Dungeon Hunter?

Finished Jak and Daxter collection, definitely Jak3 was the best for me, better balanced and fair.
Now started God of War and oh man! That's one hell of a ride! I'm totally amazed at every moment.

I just got Octopath Traveller and I couldn't be more pleased. I was looking for a love thread of the game but figured I'd just post here.

I only just started, began my story as the merchant first and .... well... its basically the jrpg I've always wanted after FF6. There are so many little details about Octopath that make me smile, from the voice acting to the battles, to the story. Every time a character punches out their little battle one liners, which so far are trade/job specific, I cant help but squeal lol. I haven't had this kind of feeling since I bought A Link to the Past back in the day! Seriously I have that same old wonder I had as a kid... and that's a rare thing these days!

I can only hope a sequel is in the works, I heard it sold well. If anyone is on the fence, check out the demo and give it a shot, you wont be disappointed!

I'm playing 3 games at once, which is crazy.
Just started Ch 4 in RDR2 and loving it.
I just bought Shadow of Tomb Raider Croft Edition and Assassin's Creed Odyssey Gold during the Xbox Live sale.
I was going to wait until after RDR2 but I am having so much fun in ACOdy.

FF Tactics and Nier: Automata.

Also beat Digital: A Love Story the other day. Is it a game? Not really, but it's neat.

The other half’s just walked in through the door with Hitman 2 (PS4) for me so just downloading the update for it.

I bought Battlefront II yesterday on the PSN sale and played through all single player modes and Resurrection, which is the only reason I bought it as I’m not into online gaming. I know it’s predominantly a multiplayer game, but I was hoping for the sp campaign to be a bit longer.

Still, it’s all there is until someone makes a proper AAA, single player Star Wars themed action adventure game.

Been playing Destiny 2 PC. Never like the first Destiny that much due to the grind but grinding on Destiny 2 is much better when shooting feels right thanks to it being 60fps.

Sunset Overdrive PC. This game looks too good to put down. Feels like a Spider-man game the further you go, no wonder they got Insomniac to make it.

Rainbow Six Siege like always.

Completed Metroid and Super Mario Bros 3. I was surprised that Metroid was so short. Albeit it was prolly 15 years since I last played it but I remember it being much longer. It took about 4 hours. Almost everything in the game was still intact in my muscle memory. The only downsize with the game is that almost everything looks the same so it´s hard to navigate. I could barely tell if I was in Brinstar or Norfair, or any other place for that matter.

Super Mario Bros 3 is good but World took the concept to a whole new level. It´s not even debatable. Still a fun game though. But I´m still holding out for Nintendo to start release some of their better games. Seriously, the online service is still a fucking joke. I would rather much have a virtual console service where I can pay for my games and keep them. This renting stuff is annoying. At least for now.

Now it´s on to complete Battle Chasers and Ys 8: Lacrimosa of Dana. Should be done by the week end.

I have mostly been playing Guitar Hero Live, trying to grab the last few remaining MP trophies before the servers are shut down on the first of December. Following that, I will be working on FFXV Comrades and Twisted Metal probably in January (before KH3 releases). I am hoping that these will take less time as a whole, but screw MP trophies in general. They are just asinine.

Fortnite everyday-Highly recommended as the BR mode is very addictive and engaging. That one victory you get every few months lol is so gratifying.

Call of Duty (Blackout)-Another BR game that I recommend, it is what PUBG should have been on consoles. If you don't like the building learning curve of Fortnite and want the more realistic approach, play this!!!!!

Spiderman-Every comic book fans dream come to life!!!!! The game is beautiful and the swinging and combat imo are on point. Just a fun game with a city you will love to get lost in. Also helps that there are lots of outfits to unlock.

Halo: Combat Evolved. Truth & Reconcilliation mission.

I can't find Captain Keyes.

I'm also playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider, which looks great on the X and is fun to play.

I really thought I might be playing No Man's Sky for the rest of my life, but I went and got into Red Dead 2.

I reckon my hapless band of space frigates will carry on without me for a spell.

Still loving Red Dead 2, I suspect I'll be playing that until this gen ends, its just so good and theres so much to do. I was able to pickup Battlefield V on Friday, no pre-order at BestBuy (soft release date I guess?) It feels really good to play a big WWII online shooter again with tanks, planes and for me lots of sniping. I got a bit of time in with it this weekend between Red Dead 2 and its alot of fun to play and has the look and feel to a well oiled Battlefield 1. Its not perfect obviously, I personally experienced quite abit of pop up and at one point was trapped in a void beside an airplane hanger, it was transparent balcony of sorts where I respawned and could hear the battle going on and see some of it and shots being fired but my shots were blocked by an invisible wall, after Friday night things started to run abit more smoothly, still some pop up but no transparent voids. I will mention I've had no issues with connectivity which is a big change from the launch of Battlefield 1.

Funny, i have taken a short break from Red Dead and started up Odessey again, and about to switch back whenever I get home tonight.

Just finished DQ11 with harder monsters draconic ~150 hours lol
The true final boss was insane i only had two living characters left after an hour battle because he would constantly heals himself and i only won because of a last ditch effort magic burst i literally had no other options left. Now i look up youtube videos of other people fighting him and realize i was supposed to use the sword of light as item to make him much much easier and that in fact without it he is the hardest boss in the game... explains why my level ~90 characters got stomped into the ground like it was nothing lolol The game is a masterpiece and imo even better than 8

Mainly RDR2 the last couple weeks. It's a slow game and I'm taking it slowly as well. Other than too much riding I've eben enjoying it quite a bit though.

Grabbed Raiden V DC on PS4 due to it being like $10 on Plus but I found it dull and unengaging even compared to Raiden 3 and 4. Not sure I'll be spending much time with it.

New Super Mario Bros U. I got it from a local gaming store for about ~$18 dollars. It is ok and I like how I can play it in short sessions as I have become somewhat busier with my job. It really reminds me of Super Mario World with the connected world and secret exits.

PS4 Pro|| Red Dead Redemption 2:
Great game if you really like to invest time into a world where everything takes time and lots of it (i'm not joking, simply looting a body or grabbing a can actually takes time). Immerse yourself in an amazing story as an outlaw where you can basically do whatever you want and on top of that it is graphically impressive for a console game. If you like open world games that don't hold your hand and that are also very story driven its perfect. If you prefer to free roam and just do whatever you want then enjoy, you can get lost in this game because there is plenty to do but when you decide enough is enough and really immerse yourself in the story then red dead 2 becomes truly a treat. Even with its gameplay flaws it was very fun and strongly written (i have finished the main story). But i still play it because the game is just massive and i have plenty to hunt, collect or find in the world. And when online drops, well who knows what will be added.

PC|| Battlefield V: (been playing on origin access for about a week)
Not sure if id recommend this to people but if you are into fps games they definitely changed this one up compared to most if not all battlefield games. No more spotting (unless you are a sniper and even then you can only spot on hits) No more insanely overpowered vehicles either. Its a fairly fast paced battlefield game with great graphics and fairly good pc optimization. i play on a laptop and run the max fidelity settings which are high settings at a mostly constant 60fps on my system and it looks great and runs well. I am yet to try the story mode, its probably just okay, not really the selling point for battlefield though. as a PVP FPS though its fun, i play conquest and matches last anywhere from around 15-30 minutes and most if not all my matches have been very close in score, sometimes by 1 kill which is insane in a 600 point -- 32 vs 32 game.

PC|| Path of Exile:
Got sick of playing diablo 3 so i thought id give this game a try. Well i made it 5 minutes in and im confused because the game allows you to customized everything, it's crazy, i have no idea where to begin so i havent really played bast the tutorial intro... maybe youtube can help me out. Wont know if its a good game to invest time into or not yet, if i can figure out how to play it then i may edit this but i dont think this game is for anyone looking to play it casually.

Finally grinded (ground?) out rank 1 in DBD. You'd be amazed how many high ranked survivors are incapable of hitting skill checks. Or don't understand that saving somebody on the hook, when the killer is chasing somebody else, actually improves your chances of escaping.

Currently playing Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales. Amazing game and my RPG of the year so far. Didn't think I'd enjoy a game based on Gwent-based combat, but the story-telling, choices and consequences, environments, and excellent sound design all make for an amazing experience. Even Gwent doesn't bother me much, and in fact some of the puzzles are really fun to solve.

Will finish it this weekend. Then on to AC Odyssey.

I started (another) lttp-game yesterday and played a good 3 or 4 hours of Watch Dogs 2 on PC

Dragon Quest XI - About 4 hrs in so far. It's by the far the most good looking DQ game so far.Stunning even. Not a fan of the first companion's VA, thought. Everyone speaks with a british accent, he speaks like a vaguely italian mobster.

Guess i will finish RDR2 today, i was about to drop the game in chapter 3 but i kept playing it and now i think its pretty good not 10/10 or GOTY but really good.

ESO, the new Clockwork City Event

The only game I’ve been playing recently is Friday the 13th. Haven’t really played much with other things going on in my life. Though now with that out of the way, I’m looking into getting RDR2. Would be good to get back into the single player games again.

I've mostly finished up Forza Horizon 4 and am having a hard time settling on a new game. I've bought a million games during the sales but now I can't pick one.

For now I've been doing short farm sessions post-game in FFXIII, while trying to find my next game.
