The Last of Us for the first time.

I just finished the Uncharted trilogy, and this is quite a shift in pace and tone. Every bullet counts and I'm close to dead after fights.

It really needed the section where you pet a neat animal.

Yea, sadly the OG releases of KH games tend to be broken. We can expect a major expansion/update/patch that balances everything in a few months to a year.

I'm still doing Xenogears, but recently started Donkey Kong Country on the SNES Classic to see if I finally may be able to beat it. Since I couldn't when I was 10.
Omg so damn hard! I still love it but I'm not used anymore not being able to save whenever I want. If i lose all my lives I have to replay 3-4 levels again!
But nostalgia wins, I still love SNES games and think it's the best console ever.

I have almost finished Divinity Original Sin (the first one). I have played this game off an on since 2016. The ending is in sight, and Im honestly pretty pumped to finish it. Its the last game on my backlog.

Metroid Prime on Wii. I played maybe an hour of it the day it came out on GC and never touched it again. The game is amazing and controls really well on the Wii.

You know the SNES Classic has save states, right? Or are you trying to play it old school?

Btw, if you think DKC can be hard, wait until you play DKC2. That snake level...

Yeah I'm actually cheating using those save states :( I'll try it of school afterwards if I have the time

Im playing Spacelords on XB1 now. I finally got through everything I wanted to do in the Witcher 3 - it just took me a few hundred hours.

Spacelord Pro's...

1. Free to play.
2. Team based PvE. I like working WITH people. Killing AI's also makes lag (Im in Australia) less of an issue.
3. Cool/edgy artstyle, including a little sex appeal.
4. Characters abilities and play styles are very diverse.

giphy.gif

Spacelord cons...

1. It can take 10 mins to find a game.
2. Some of the skins are EXPENSIVE! $20+ USD for the top priced ones.
3. A little grindy. Saving in game cash to level up weapons and buy characters can take a while. You can buy characters outright though.
4. Lots of melee. I dont mind hand to hand combat, but I prefer shooting stuff.

I have never heard of this, but you've sold me on at least trying it out.

Rocket League - I really wish I could stop playing it.
No Man's Sky
FIFA 19
Battlefield 1 - only because I have Origin Access. Only going to play the campaign and then move on to BFV. Tried Hardline but that was ass.
Battlefield 3 - my favourite Battlefield game. just want to play some old maps again before installing 4.
Fortnite - not been playing this as much but still load it up now and then.
Overwatch - been playing a lot of it recently
Forza 7
Forza Horizon 4 - struggling to get into it. i just can't get used to the handling of the cars. they are all so slippery.

Just bought:

Hotline Miami - played a little of it on PS4. will try it again on PC
SWO: Fatal Bullet - have no idea why I bought it really.... probably get it refunded lol.

Finishing up RE2. I need to clear Claire B but doing three campaigns back to back has made the idea of doing a fourth kinda monotonous. Due to that I'll prob wait till the weekend to clear it.

Randomly found myself playing Mushihimesama. Was really into it back on PS2 but it'd been so long I forgot how much I enjoyed the game.

Peace Walker - man this endgame. just endless side ops. i got into the habit of doing 2-3 ops every evening. the maps recycle so much that it's all i can take lol tho i do appreciate the variety & novelty missions. this is where MGSV excelled, with those large open world maps, providing all kinds of new areas for side ops. no longer are you fighting the same single tank or single chopper over and over in one map, now you are crawling between multiple tanks and ATVs armed to the teeth, out in the middle of some sand dunes far away from any story mission, etc. still it is incredible what they did on a portable device so long ago.

Bloodborne - this is the only reason i use PSNow, and i have been subscribed for a few months now, and i am going to let my subscription lapse at the end of the month. so i am playing this again, starting from a relatively new game, and i just defeated Father Gasciogne the other evening and made it to the game proper so im looking forward replaying this. i want to get the wheel this time. playing with a Nintendo Switch Pro wired controller on PC =)

Playing Yakuza Kiwami now after being introduced to the awesomeness that is Yakuza 0. Not enjoying it as much, but still compelling story-wise, and goofy as fuck sidestory-wise.

I'm playing the fck out of Star Citizen right now. ever since the 3.3 patch the frame rates are great, it's finally playable. Still buggy but starting to see how this is going to come together

Playing Fire Emblem Warriors for 3DS.

First time playing a Dynasty Warriors game, other than Dynasty Warriors 9 (which is awful, btw).

It’s actually really good.

Onimusha Warlords on the PS4. Loving every bit of it. Feels just as good as I was playing it back on the PS2.

I'd love a lot of HD remasters and remakes of the PS1/PS2 era. Tons of good Single Player gameplay and that imo needs to be reserved and come back.

Bloodborne

this game is perfect. the world is so beautiful and dreamlike and covered with detail. tonight i've decided this is my favorite Soulsborne game.

this is one i really want an HD release of, or at least in 1080p, with a locked 30fps (for that cinematic look).

Just finished for the first time on PC the HD Remaster of Resident Evil, with the upscale mod. Beautiful game, one of my most played on GC.

Now for RE Revelations 1 or 2.

I forget about Star Citizen for months at a time and then something like your post reminds me it's still around. I'm glad to hear you're having fun with it. I hope that scale of ambition gets rewarded.

ming array of skillHaving wrapped up Soul Gambler for the 52 games 52 weeks challenge . I figured I'd get back into something a bit more episodic in nature and opted for: -

Which has been sat in my backlog for quite some time

First impression. Intriguing Visually it reminds me somewhat of Dishonored in terms of the styling and the characterisation. As far as gameplay goes it's very much in the same mould as TWD or LIS, however, it is (so far) heavily driven by narrative choices, cross-referenced against a slightly overwhelming array of skills and talents you unlock and can advance with each passing chapter. It does seem to me that the game affords you the ability to fail and for that to not necessarily hinder your progress but at the same time, it does feel like you need to have your wits about you in order to make the optimal choice for your situation.

Criticisms. VO is for the most part decent enough, but there are a couple of clangers in there in terms of pronunciation and they do kind of detract. There doesn't so far seem to be the ability to skip dialogue either from what I can tell which is a little annoying if like me you like a try out different things. So far so good though.

Battlefield 5 (regularly) I think people will look back at this game and remember its impressive controls, and Dice saving the game patch by update.

I'm thinking of jumping on that next for my first time.

Just finished The Last of Us and only need two stupid multiplayer grind trophies for the platinum. Everyone still playing years after release are hundreds of levels ahead, so it's just me getting raped and having no fun. Oh well, on to the next game.

Finally finished the PC version of Resident Evil Revelations 1.

Holy shit, this game is bad. Can't imagine the pain it must be to play Episodes 7-12 on 3DS.

Now, for Revelations 2 on PC.

Yeah, I noticed that with the Katana too. I found it impossible to hit anything with any other melee weapon.

I finished the game yesterday evening and thought that it had a very strong ending. One of the rare cases where a game starts out ok but then gets really good towards the finish line. Loved how they tackled and explained Alessa's past. Final boss fight was also quite neat.

At the end of the day SH3 is the worst of the original trilogy but not as much as I expected. I'd give all of them a 9/10 with SH1 being the best of the bunch.

Now up to SH4, which I never finished so far. Curious to see if it's as bad as generally claimed.
silent hill 4 is good, but just annoying. I don't like escorting Eileen around, and giving her a weapon is the worst idea. If you want the best ending in SH4 you have to make sure she doesn't take a lot of damage, but if you give her a weapon she'll attack mobs, and get her self damaged. Then they took away the flash light and radio, which a lot of people didn't like. The best weapon is maybe the hand axe, since fully charged attacks have I-frames that can go through any attack. The guns are wack, and mostly for bosses

The only way to play homecoming is on PC unless you want your game to randomly crash, and downpour is boring.

I played a little bit of Revelations 1 on pc too. Are all the enemies the same? I got put off of it really quick. I hear Rev 2 is good tho.

There are about 4-5 variations of the white enemy, along with the zombie dogs, the hunters, invisible hunters and some fish monsters. Not bad in variety, but they are just not fun to fight. Level design starts interesting, but goes dow to the abyss after half of the game.

Played about 3 episodes of Revelations 2 on Xbox One, and it was much better than Revelations 1, imo. I'm actually looking forward to play the whole game to the end now.

So I finished up Shining Resonance Refrain's original mode. It was a decent RPG., fun, easy to play, short and sweet. Will try the Refrain mode soon but before that I'm going back to the Xbox 360 for a last ride, of sorts.
I finally picked up a copy of Rise of the Tomb Raider on the 360 on CEX. Unpacked my 360 that had been stored away for a full year, maybe more. It's the last comercially released game on the Xbox 360, though, I'm not clear on that one. But it is certainly the last AAA timed-exclusive title on the platform.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. man this game is amazing. love the art design, the cartoony glowy cosmic psychedelic look of Captain Toad's world. i love the emphasis on picking things up, it felt like Super Mario Bros. 2 in a lot of ways.

i beat book 3 tonight and it was a real journey, that last boss is a tough fight. tbh i thought there were only 2 books in the game so i was surprised at book 3. now i beat the game and yep there's a Super Mario Odyssey Bonus book. so just when i thought i was done i have a whole bunch of new levels to play. there's friggin' 82 levels in this game!

Rev 1 is hard as balls with a lot of bullshit scenarios. Rev 2 is a much more "Resident Evil" experience. Rev 1 made people super wary of Rev 2, sadly. I finished Rev 1 and will never do it again. I finished Rev 2 and will totally go back some day. Also, Rev 2's "Mercenaries" mode is bloody amazing.
