Mother (NES).

I've been grinding battles outside the first house for about four hours. I hear the game gets hard, so I like to be prepared.

I just recently played through this. You should play one of the hacked versions that adjusts the encounter rate and experience from enemies. Makes the game way more enjoyable.

I've picked this game up several times in the past and lost interest pretty quickly. For some reason, this time it clicked and I'm actually enjoying it. From what I've played, I'd say it's the best of the NSMB games. Which is to say it's really solid in every aspect, while simultaneously feeling kind of bland. However, this one does more to stand out from the rest of the series. Especially in the art and level design.

Yeah, I sometinmes get encounters every single step I take. I actually thought my version was glitched :messenger_grinning_smiling:

I'm about a third in now, so I'll stick with it. But if I ever play it again, I'll consider a hacked version.

I started playing Titan Quest on the PS4 (because I really liked the original on pc) and omg, the attack controls are absolutely horrible. Your character will attack only the currently highlighted enemy and run past the other ones unless you hold the attack button to manually pick who you want to attack. I have played quite a few h&s games on the consoles, but none of them were this bad in translating pc mouse controls to console pad controls. I've actually decided to finish the game using a bow, because it's much less irritating to switch targets from a distance rather than try to do it during intense melee combat. I also don't like how the mini-map is tiny and accessing full map doesn't happen with one click, but only after opening the radial menu and picking the correct option. I still like the world of this game and the looting aspect, but I thought it would be a much better console port.

Astral Chain. So far I'm really digging this game. The mixture of hack and slash and police investigation is really interesting. It's amazing how platinum is constantly able to innovate in the third person action genre.

Finished the campaign in Spiderman. It was okay, the final act was really good, but the experience as a whole was bogged down by boring stealth section and uninspired side content. The web slinging and traversal was phenomenal and the production values are, of course, amazing. But in the end, I didn't really feel it. I got the DLC left but I'm saving it for a rainy day.

Booted up Vampyr and so far so good. This is more in my taste. Love the early 20th century setting, it's brooding and dark, like straight out of a Jack the Ripper-novel. The writing is solid too. Overall, it got a lot of Bloodborne feeling over it and in my book, that ain't a bad thing. Got high hopes for this game.

Playing through Control. It's alright. I dig it. I knew it was inspired by SCP Foundation beforehand but.... yeah... it's really, really, really, really inspired by SCP. The few places Remedy diverted from SCP has some cool concepts. I am guessing the fact SCP is community driven and has no real ownership (despite the claims of a certain person in Russia) Remedy couldn't figure out how to get the license for the IP and sell it as a full priced game. I really think they just wanted to do a straight up game in that universe and had to settle for an homage.

Although playing a 'chosen one trope' protag kinda kills what the SCP Foundation is all about.

I completely forgot that I only completed the 50cc cups on Mario Kart Wii, so I've been playing heavily the past couple days. The Wiimote steering is excellent but I do prefer the Classic Controller for its precision control. I do wish I could still play online, but we're talking about a videogame from 2008.

What time is it?
Finished chapter 3 of Ys VIII. I'm not sure I'll continue. I'm not a fan of the combat and the pacing and character dialog just feel off so it's hard t be invested.

The Outer Worlds on Game Pass for PC. Enjoying it a lot after taking a couple hours to really get into it.

Pokémon Sword. Also loving it. I’m a super casual fan of the series so all the gripes bigger fans have just don’t bother/apply to me.

Kentucky Route Zero. Finished this last week. Replayed the first four acts and interludes as it had been a long while. Glad I did as I didn’t remember most of it. I didn’t enjoy the fifth act and interlude as much. Need to replay it though as I powered through act 4, watched some of the online videos that follow it and played the interlude after it and then jumped right into act 5 and it’s interlude. That was a lot to digest in one sitting (game is really beat played one act and interlude per sitting IMO) and I had a few drinks and was a little drunk by the time I got to it.

My typical filler games:

Heroes of the storm
They are billions

Then i completed AC odyssey 100% with all camps archievements etc, sucks tho because i really liked it. Also completed AC origin with everything in there.
So now on the tomb raider franchise, bought tomb raider 2013 and risen.

Completed tomb raider in like 10 hours, game honestly wasn't good at all. The wobbling effect on PC gave me eye cancer its unplayable. Its hard to stream because the game doesn't hook for shit with OBS, and the lineare simplistic way of doing things where honestly terrible. However when the game opened up more at the end it started to get a bit more better. Sadly the ending was also close at that point.

Puzzles where a joke if you even found stuff. Also not liking the Gore shit. Lara also looked weird asian and the story didn't make much sense at all. Also everything exploding the moment u are there with 1000's of years old shit being builded was just cringe at some point.

Game felt rushed, and honestly i cant think of anybody paying 60 bucks for that shit back in the day. It's a 5 buck game at best.

One good thing about the game performance was great, ~170 fps really made high HZ screen shine.

Rise of the tomb raider is absolutely fantastic so far, only 3 hours in but already 30% completed, The acting / animations / visuals are top notch. Performance is also great sit around the ~120 fps mostly at ultra settings. However DX12 seems to have some hiccup problems at times. and dx11 simple lowers the performance to much because less cores are used in city area's. All with all got a blast with it.

However some issue's the open world concept in this game feels janky as hell and again the tombs at this point are so simplistic and fast done that i just wonder why bother. With 3 hours for 30% i think its another 10 hour game at max. Still DLC seem interesting so will try those out after i complete the game.

Again not worth 60 bucks even remotely games are to short and the survival aspect of crafting and looting stuff honestly feels janky as hell.

Will also try shadow out but kinda wanting to do that on 3080 gtx which i hope will finally give us some good performance on 3000 series cards. Nvidia hurry up already.

Really liking this DLC, both Donkey Kong and Cranky Kong changes up the gameplay very interesting way.

Finished Shenmue 3 almost a week ago - but got hit with colossal amount of work at the job... so I just started playing my next game on Friday. Resident Evil 0 HD remake on Steam... And it's kicking my butt! I am running so low on the health with no recovery item to be found (in Training Facility now) - I may have to restart the whole game again. :( It feels like it's so much harder than other classic RE game.

Other than that - I "stress-shopped-due-to-too-much-work" some Wii U games. Ninja Gaiden 3 RE, and Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE, as well as Bayonetta 1 & 2. Bayonetta is arriving on Monday, but I played about 30 min of Ninja Gaiden 3 RE and TMS #FE... that my initial impressions are pretty positive. I was afraid that I wouldn't like Ninja Gaiden 3 RE, as I am a huge fan of Black and 2 (haven't played sigmas) - but 3 RE seems to be pretty challenging (almost died on the first battle LOL), so I'm looking forward to play the game when I get around to it.

Same goes to TMS #FE - I loved Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 (still to play P3F, which is on my PS3 now) - and it still has that Atlus RPG feel. Once I get my action fix with other game, I intend to play another JRPG - probably DQ XI - but very much looking forward to play this game!

Titanic was called the Ship of Dreams, and it was. It really was.
I just got Sekiro, but surprisingly for me, the game didn't capture me. It's a great, very polished game. But it's just not my thing.

Instead, I've been playing one of my favorite games of all time. Golden Axe II for the Geneis/Mega Drive.

Neighbours from Hell
Beat Journey to the Savage Planet. Loved it. It starts off a little meandering, but once you get your bearings it really turns into a kinda Metroid Prime. For $30 you can’t beat the size of this game at that price. It’s pretty big a lot of nooks and crannies to explore. Wish it would’ve had a map and had some other issues like me getting stuck in the environment and having to quit. But other than that a great game. Especially for the price.

A lot of Slay The Spire at the moment. I'm terrible though and it's taking a toll on my enjoyment. The RNG hates me.

Bit of Apex Legends. Kind of losing interest with the start of season 4.

Very much considering Heavy Rain 2. On a bit of a roguelike kick right now and I enjoyed the shit out of the first.

I’m playing Army of Two: 40th Day on my old 360. Years ago, I started the coop campaign with my brother and we never finished it. I simply could not forgive myself if I left it unfinished.

Started MediEvil and oh boy it's rough. Some levels like Scarecrow Fields are truly unforgiving for first timers. Also I've noticed incredibly serious & sudden frame drops, not a good look for the game.

I’m in that weird place where I’m in between games, so to speak and I keep flitting around from game to game, trying to settle on something, but nothing’s jiving with me. I hate when this happens.
Damn i hate when that happens and sucks when the one I feel to play is new and I don't want to pay full 60€ for it.
