What is it sticking out the DS Iwata and Co use?

Okay if you go and download the IGN video from GDC of Iwata's speech.
Download Vid number 4 where they are all playing Mario Kart.

Okay what the hell have they all got poking out of the top?
I know this is where the DS games go, but they all have what look like receivers or something coming out the top?

I tried to post a screen print, but Windows media player just captures a blank screen.
Anyone know what this is?

It's the thing that allows the crowd to see the game on the big screen.

BTW ThongyDonk. Cyberlink PowerDVD captures WMV stills with ease.

It must be a dev card indeed.
Much better size for devs to handle and carry around the workplace then those tiny cute DS cards ;)

No, it is not. Bill Trinen's DS had a camera mounted above it and that is what was on the screen. The things sticking out, as others have said, are simply what the games look like before they're mastered onto those cute flash carts. Much the same as every cart-based system ever.
