They are shitting on a bunch of crybabies whining that their favourite shitty fried chicken restaurant has the audacity to introduce plant based "food" to their menu. Who cares. They deserve to be mocked and even if these are coming from real people (spoiler they arent) I bet they will still continue to eat at KFC.

The customer is always wrong does seem to be running them with a lot of companies today.
What I find most ridiculous about this though, is that KFC cook all their 'meat free' options in the same oil as their chicken, so none of it is vegetarian/vegan anyway.

The whole point of the Commercial is that KFC is self aware there is a segment of customers like me that would naturally grumble "I wish they'd just stick with real Chicken".
So yes advertising to a new audience by shitting on existing customers seems like a really stupid plan to me and if anything an attempt to virtue signal at the expense of their own core product.

Honestly it's not a big enough deal that I would permanently stop going... But it certainly doesn't help their cause when I'm debating between popeyes and kfc.

I stopped going to KFC years ago because the chicken is terrible. They make ok fries but it's kind of hard to fuck fries up.
