I just bought my wife one of those MacBook neos for work, should be here tomorrow. I use an air. EPIC just pushed a big update out about three months ago for Mac which makes the program run better and she was using an HP before for years which did the job. Besides using them for light work like Epic charting, reading radiology reports, labs, video calls etc we don't really use them for anything more than YouTube.

I'm anxious to see how the Neo compares to the air.

My previous PC was from 2016 with a 1070 and it served me well until last year.

I have a macbook from 2019, but it starts to throttle the CPU when it gets hot. Can only play low end games.

Would like the M series macbook in the future.

Repaste the CPU with PTM7950, or at least new thermal paste. But PTM7950 is superior to all thermal paste. I have it on all of my Laptops and desktop, including my RTX 3070. Thermals are improved by at least 7-10 degrees compared to even the best thermal paste in the market today.

Didn't even consider replacing the paste, I should probably try doing this.

I use an M4 MacBook Pro. Probably overkill for what I do which is mostly basic web browsing and watching YouTube videos.
