what jrpg are you playing right now ?

Starting Suikoden 3. Then 4 and 5.

edit: And my new ps2 slim doesn't sound like a plane in flight like my old one did, yay.

I'm a couple of hours into Tales of Destiny. I figured it was high time I got back into the series. I played Tales of Phantasia years and years and years ago. I've recently purchased Tales of Xillia during the Black Friday sales for $20, so I figured I'd work my way up to it by playing as many of the Tales games as I could in order of their release.

can a decent laptop not made for gaming -asus vivobook sc500a-- run final fantasy 7 (digital) easily?

if so, wheres the cheapest place i can get the pc version? and is the pc version buggy or is it pretty good?

Bought Ni No Kuni and Tales of Xillia... having trouble deciding which to dig into first.

Thinking Kuni.

As well as resubbing to FFXIV this weekend. Going to burn through the rest of the story and see if I feel like continuing after this month.

Dammit. I was hoping it would end at the end of the year.

Is there any point in going all the way up to the top of Tartarus? (Besides presumably leveling and finding better loot.)

There's definitely a point. By the time the ending comes along anyway.

Recently downloaded Legend of Dragoon and Xenogears on my PSP GO. Started both but leaning more towards LOD. I beat years ago but want to do so again. I know Xeno is super long so I may hold off that for a while.

I beat Persona 4 Golden a few weeks ago and I've been switching back and forth between Earth Bound and FF7 since then. So much RPG goodness.

I played Earth Bound as a kid, but I gotta say it's an infinitely more enjoyable experience as an adult. The dialog and music especially are fantastic. Very charming.

Still Earthbound. Once school is done with I will have much more time to play it...

I was rocking some Tales of Xillia in order to learn the importance of eating a lot, but for some reason I paused right before the end.

For some reason I always have such a hard time completing games because I don't actually want to see them end. I think something is wrong with my brain.

Haha, Do you rip out the last page of a book so it will never end?

Finish that game man. Then get Xillia 2 when it's out.

Nice to see a bunch of people playing it though. Great game.

Started Resonance of Fate a couple of months ago, had a hard time figuring out the battle system, stopped playing, and now that I tried it again, shit makes no sense.

I gotta give it credit for actually punishing you for not keep playing it. :v

I have a Xillia save that I just haven't had enough interest in going back to. Story is meh and the combat is a step back from both Graces and Vesperia. :(

Ys: Memories of Celceta if you want to call that an RPG (not really).

RoF's combat isn't very complicated. Have you gone to the arena to check out the tutorials? Read the post I made a few months ago for some tips.

Don't know how far in you are in Xillia but the second half of the story is great. Also the combat gets much better.

What do you like about Vesperia's combat more than xillia? I can't even play vesperia, no synergy in the party at all, Jude in Xillia plays like a freaking fighting game character, its rad.

just started xillia and am loving it. Much prefer the battle system over graces f. The full voice acting helps a lot. Also just bought persona 2 EP and IS, and growlanser wayfarer of time.

I'm like you, except I usually do all the sidequests, beat the bonus and super bosses, then finally just save at the final save point before the final boss and end my game there.

I'm in an awkward spot right now. In the Summer, I started playing Persona 3, and got past the September story boss. However, I haven't played since then. If I start again from where I left off, I won't remember where I was in the story exactly, and I'll have to re-learn the mechanics. But I'm way too far in to restart the game.

Tbh the story in P3 is rather straight forward you shouldn't have much trouble jumping back in. Past the September boss the party is still focused on defeating the 12 arcana shadows if you remember that.

As for the mechanics...it's a turn based RPG. Shouldn't be that hard to relearn it lol. Past that just look at your menu for the Social Links you've progressed and try to max some out.

What do you do if optional stuff is unlocked only after beating the final boss? :x

I usually play it. Case in point; dragon quest 8, ff13. ms saga (had a bonus dungeon and uber boss after beating the story boss)

Games where I stopped at the final boss; all 3 shadow hearts.

ha damn, forgot about that.

at least the build up will be sweet!?

yeah I'm good.

I only posted in the OT when it was fresh just to clear up my concerns so I'm back to my blackout. Preordered the CE at my local store so I'm ready. 3 long months but I know it'll be worth it.

Play Xillia.

Yeah I think im going that route. The opening did not wow me and the blue tint is annoying as hell only an hour in but I think I can enjoy it. NnK... the monster design is just killing me, and the random difficulty of the bosses is weird. Already find myself cheating in it lol.

Love the atmosphere, just feel like it might be too much of a game for me at the moment.

Hope you picked Jude's side.
