What mode ahould I play DMC3?

I went to WAGs boutique and all I got was a sniff
I got the game yesterday and did the first two missions. Im doing it on normal and I died once on each mission, so it wasnt so bad. The second time I did each mission I did it without any trouble. I just started the third mission and died straight away on the alley way:P. Im not so sure if I should keep doing normal or do easy. Does the game get much harder or is this the difficulty throughout the rest of the game?

From what I've observed the game only seems to scale difficulty in the level of damage the enemies deal to you. They might be a bit more aggressive going from easy to normal, but I've only really noticed a difference in challenge on the bosses.

In which case it's just the difference between shooting the f'er for 40 minutes instead of 20. Uh - yay?

the enemies get dumber and more passive...if you fuck up and want to die it takes much longer in easy mode than in normal (they circle around you for what seems like forever before attacking in easy mode...they block attacks less)...and I don't think the damage they deal to you changes

TTOB: dmc3 > shantae...stick to what you know

I started out dying a lot with Mission 3 on Normal difficulty, too. :)

Unless your ego won't allow it, my suggestion is that you switch to Easy. Play through the game to its conclusion, then go back to Normal with a beefed-up Dante and see what a difference it can make. You're not missing out on anything - everything save the difficulty is pretty much the same - and the only real change is in your rewards for completion.

I've beaten the game on Easy, and am currently breezing through Normal.

I defeated the grim reaper boss on the second mission on my first go quite easily. Are there any checkpoints in easy mode. i now the lack of checkpoints on normal will piss me off>:(.

Ive not actually experimented with the styles yet. Ive tried swordsman I feel comfortable with swordsman, but are the others better?

How many levels is DMC3? I'm on the Ninth currently and am not looking forward to slogging through the rest of it.

Climbing around the internals of whatever the hell it was I was in reminded me a lot of Bloodrayne. Seems Capcom isn't afraid of cribbing from Western developers.

Don't worry Gutso, I'm sure Kratos will make Dante's execution quick and painless. :lol

20 Missions, TToB. You're almost halfway through.

No checkpoints in Easy, Yellow Orbs work the same. Swordmaster is great for getting Stylish combos once you've leveled it up. Trickster (IMO) works best for many of the boss characters. I don't really care for Gunslinger or Royal Guard, but I can see where they might be useful. RG seems to be an "experts only" style, and Gunslinger has some great techniques with the Shotgun, Spiral, and Artemis.

I tend to stick with Swordmaster, though, since getting Beowulf. :)

Ive got a big ego:p, so I will keep trying on normal. If it pisses me off too much, i will do it on easy.

Ive heard that the NA normal is the japanese hard. Does that mean that NA easy is japanese normal?

Oh, son of a bitch! :D

I figured I was making decent progress since I'm using HDloader which significantly reduces the annoying load times that plague RE engine based games, and skipping every cut scene.

If I'm going to force myself to play crap, perhaps I should look into writing game reviews to get some benefit out of it. Nu Game Journalism or some such - I can dress up like a Hot Topic clown and write really bitchy reviews.

Not that I already don't, write bitchy reviews. I own no grease paint. :P
