ps. Love how cinema at that time knew how to use time.

Inception camera work and visuals were genius level, as were Shutter Island.

The winner is John Wick 3. Halle Berry + Dogs + Wick. The action going on in the background of each action is shot, is filmed better than most action films these days. It is a joy and a pleasure to watch. Bonus: Halle Berry is 50, 50!!!!! Smoking hot.

The inception collapse sequence is what I thought of when I read the title. There are greater scenes, a lot already posted in this thread, but something about the choreography of the scenes within scenes all connecting together was definitely special.

That movie still scares me almost 40 years later.

The scene with the angelic-like ghost coming down the stairs.

The scene with the dragon-like head emerging from the portal.

The ghostly dragon-like being that looks like that thing from Bloodborne blocking the door to the kid's bedroom

All those scenes still frighten me as an adult. I think it's the most realistic portrayal of ghosts on film.

Plus the paranormal investigator Marty tearing his face off in the mirror screwed me up for years as a kid. I couldn't look into a mirror throughout my entire childhood.

Well, that ans I just cannot stand my own ugliness.

This is my all time favourite movie scene: Taxi Driver climax

The moment at 2:46 when the pimps face gets destroyed is the single best two seconds in cinema history.

Two films that are filled to the brink with awesome moments are Scarface and Passion of the Christ. I'm not gonna link anything from them, but they are infinitely recommended for anyone into these kind of beautiful cinematic fragments of time.
