What moments/lines from your favorite TV shows got you hooked?

For me, I know that there's a few moments in each of my favorite TV shows where I KNOW the show's gonna be something great.

Seinfeld: Kramer: "Who wouldn't want a Junior Mint? They're very refreshing!"

Curb Your Enthusiasm: The final moments of the "Incest Survivor Group" episode with Larry's uncle, and the producer of the "Vagina Monologues."

South Park: Cartman singing "Kyle's Mom's a Bitch" for the first time.

Sopranos: Paulie: (to Christopher): "Yeah I went over (to France) for a blowjob. Your mom was working the Bonbons in the Eiffel Tower. Hey Sil! You hear what I just said? I said I went over for a blowjob. His mom was working the Bonbons in the Eiffel Tower."

Arrested Development: Seeing David Cross infiltrate a blind woman (Julia Louise-Dreyfuss's) apartment, while trying not to make any noise, doing a handstand right in front of her while spreading his legs out wide-eagle for balance.

Add yer' favorites...

I literally cried and got a headache (SERIOUSLY) from all the laughing I did when I first saw that.

The Shield: The last sequence of the pilot. When Vic turns over and shoots (fuck, I forget his name) New Guy in the face. I was like "HOLY SHIT! THIS IS THE FIRST EPISODE, AND THIS IS HAPPENING!?" And the show didn't let up from there.

South Park: "Hey kids, I'm TV's Patrick Duffy!"

Mr. Show: Van Hammersly's "Teaching By Billiards" tapes commerical. Oh my god. "And Mr. Fasthorse is comin' out of the gate slow, not much like his name!" We accidentally flipped to the channel when the skit came on, I had tears rolling down my cheeks, and was totally in love.

Curb Your Enthusiasm: When Jeff's parents walk in on Larry watching the porn that Gil starred in. When Gil referred to his home as "The House that Cum Built" I was pretty fucking close to falling in love.

kramer: "how can the same street intersect with itself?!? i must be at the nexus of the universe!!!"

well that didn't get me hooked but i thought it was a damn funny line and that episode was just on tonight.

Though it isn't my favorite, favorite show or anything, I do specifically remember the line that got me to love Everybody Loves Raymond;

(Robert, the huge tall dude who voiced the blowfish in Finding Nemo had fooled around with a woman he met in Italy while his current girlfriend and himself were on a break, and his girlfriend, Amy, JUST found out about it through Ray's wife, with Ray, Debra (his wife), Robert, and herself all in Ray's living room)

Amy stares at him, stands up on the couch which they were both standing next to, and slaps him in the face (he's really tall and she's only about 5'7, so she had to get up on the couch to reach him).

<Amy> I saved myself for you!

<Robert> ....really sorry!

She steps down, starts walking towards the door, stops, turns around, gets back on the couch, slaps him again, steps down, then leaves.

He (Robert) turns around in a state of shock. Then his brother, Ray, says;

<Ray> When she got on the couch the second time, what did you think was going to happen?

His delivery was just fucking perfect.

That one episode on ATHF when Frylock was bitching at Shake for not paying the light bill totally freaked me out and had me drawn in. I remember I used to think that show was so stupid and pointless, then I saw that one ep and while I wont say I wasn't hooked at that moment, it definitely led to me being the devoted fan I am today. I've seen alot of crazy shit on tv, but nothing is as weird as seeing a box of fries and a milkshake arguing over a light bill, nothing!

The only lines I really retain from TV shows come from The Young Ones... probably too many, at that.

- "I hate to say anything negative, but no."

- "A social conscience is like a garden shed. If you try and eat it, it'll stick in your throat."

- "I'm not made of paper. I mean, I'm not a Czech."

- "I happen to be rather attached to my bottom!"

- "Why don't you like me?"
"Because you're a complete bastard."
"I'm being serious, Vyvyan."
"So am I. You're a complete bastard and we all hate you."
"I find that rather difficult to believe."
"Wanna bet on it? I've got a fiver."
"No, I don't bet."
"Coward!"
"Yeah, yellow chicken!"
"Alright, well I'm not SCARED!"
"Right then, a fiver!"
"Oh, haven't got any money."
"What about that tenner I lent you this morning, for your sister's operation?"
"You haven't got a sister, Rik! You're the classic example of an only child!"
"Alright, are we gonna bet or are we gonna piffle around all day? Hands up, who likes me?"
:Rik puts both of his hands high, the other three put their hands under the table:
"Right. That's it, I'm going to to kill myself. Then you'll be sorry."
"No we won't."

- "there was a song on the charts recently about whites and blacks living together on pianos in racial harmony... I might be a bit stupid, but em... I know pianos ain't gonna solve nothin'."

etc... I can word for word almost all of all twelve episodes, which is wrong, but it's also true.

Seinfeld: That song about George not being at home.

Believe it or not,
George isn't at home,
Please leave a message at the beep.
I must be out, or I'd pick up the phone,
Where could I be?
Believe it or not, I'm not home.

Original Song: Believe It Or Not by Joey Scarbury

Buffy: Angel turning evil after having sex with Buffy. (Oh, how badly I wanted to be Angel.)

Scrapped Princess, first episode. Chris calmly walks into the heroes' camp at night, stops and equally calmly says: "Shinde, kudasai" (Die, please).

YES.

For Simpsons, it was the "I didn't do it" episode. A lot of The Simpsons is gold, but this just stands out.

<Bart> Repetitiveness is my job. My job! Repetitiveness is my job! I'm gonna go out there, and give the best performance of my life.
<Marge> The best performance of your life?
<Bart> The BEST performance of my life!

:lol I want that on my answering machine.

I wasn't a big fan of South Park, I would watch it, but when I first saw "Butters' Very Own Episode" that's when I became a huge fan.
