MS Office is fussy but I have no reason to use anything else, because my computer came with it for free.

I would be using word except MS are assholes about reinstalling office and I haven't been in a mood to crack my legally purcahsed copy yet. But I imagine I'll get around to it eventually.

Till then I'm using open office and, while it serves its purpose, I'm not liking it as much.

I have also found, much to my annoyance, but its too small for me to remember to do anything about it, is that without office installed outlook express has no spell checker.

MS office in both my own firm and the firm I'm currently doing work for (consulting). I've found that open office is ok but there's still no free open source application that can really work as well as MS Exchange with an exchange mail server.

My only gripe with Open Office is that it is really hard to do page numbering with it...you have to manually edit the page settings, add a footer, then add the code which pulls up the page number. It's really inane that they haven't bothered to add a simple "Number pages" dialogue.

I have Office 2003 installed, but my most used app (in general) is most probably notepad.

I was given Office 2000 by a former company I worked for, so that's what I use. I've tried all the free alternatives. None are as good, though I could live with one if I had to.

Just need to know how to setup fonts in your particular Distro.
