What Really Grinds Your Gears?

What really grinds MY gears is when someone promises me a picture of pussy and all I get is a cat! Freakin' cocktease!
 
-receiving punishment for an accidental teamkill
-sales register staff handing me coins on top notes (coins in palm first, THEN hand me the note, ok)
-old ladies on planes who insist on talking to me for an entire 12 hour flight just because they didn't bring a book with them and want to spoil my enjoyment of FamicomWars:DS
-people who think that road safety is all about speed, when actually there's 100s of other factors to consider
-Tony Blair
-the delivery men who decided to drop off kegs of beer to the bar next door to where I live at 6.30am and wake me up everyday with their 'bell-like' sounds
-huge fucking hurricanes
-my chocolate addiction (but that's only half a grind as I stay miraculously thin)
 
Any time a PC or console game freezes.

People that say how drunk/wasted/stoned they are repeatedly in one night.

hahaha i NEVER EVER give coins on top of notes, especially not to blokes who probably don't have a purse for their coins

Also, I *like* static on the radio. Its cool when you can sometimes here stuff fading in and out of the background. Makes it feel like you're picking up some signal from another planet or dimension or something. The weird-ass radio stations you get on the low end of the AM dial....I don't even know where they come from let alone who listens to them. Its almost like they just exist in the ether of the universe.
 
- people who don't know what a turn signal is for. it's a small flick of the wrist and yet it seems 1/2 or more of the drivers on the road have no idea what it's for.
- people who speed. I don't mind people who are going slightly faster than I am, it's those who think doing 10+ the speed limit is ok. it's not so stop it before you kill someone. and STFU before you start with that "victimless crime" bullcrap. The limit is there to keep the roads safe.
- people who ask me for help when I'm out shopping. I'm in Target, wearing a blue shirt, and you think I'm there to help?
- videogames with a false sense of challenge. RRDS, I'm looking at you. If I were to bump into a (theoretical) car on the road from behind I do not bounce backwards at the same speed I was going forwards at.

Agreed about the turn signal on highways.

Disagree severely about speeding. In NY you'd better be going with the flow of traffic, otherwise you'll be high beamed, honked and sworn at. The difference between 50 and 60MPH isn't that staggering. In fact, 50 is downright slow, 60 is nice and 70 is ideal for highway speeds. I usually go between 60-70, all depending on the flow of traffic. It's those who are doing 90 or exceeding 100 on a busy highway that should be shot in the arms. But there are still safe area of speeds that you can drive at without being a danger to others.

Speed limits are bullshit and they don't help prevent accidents. In fact, they probably create them, seeing as how most people think the current speed limit is too slow. This is what I love about L.A. and much of California...speed limit of 65 and 70? Sign me up!
 
Well one thing that relaly Grinds My Gears is when phrases from movies become popular before the movie's even out ... and that's what really Grinds My Gears.
 
People who bitch about another group of people doing something while doing it themselves and not realising it. Strong atheists bitching about people having faith-based beliefs. Anyone saying that all black/white/whatever people are racist - especially when they're doing it to justify their own racism. Any political party accusing another of negative campaigning (WTF?).

Also celery.
 
Most males between the ages of 12-30. Makes me ashamed to be in that group.

Most of the modern news and politics todays. Whats the point of arguing? No matter what Bush does someones going to gripe. All the dems and repubs do is bitch and white. Boo wo hoo waah waah

Commercials in movies.. cellphone talkers in movies.. basically anything at the movies nowadays.

The people who judge themselves to be good drivers are often the last people who should make that call.

Actually, I'd say that the limits are in place for the majority of drivers which are absolutely atrocious.

The real problem I find with people who think they're good enough to drive beyond the speed limit (and beyond the other rules of the road) is that they seldom leave enough leeway for other drivers who aren't that good. It's not just you that has to be able to deal with the unexpected consequences of breaking the law in that way.

Besides, I like the added fuel economy of sticking within (and often below) the speed limit. 1400 miles on a single tank of fuel? I'll take that over getting to my destination five minutes earlier.

Notes are rarely referred as such in America. *shrug*

Which reminds me, I hate when people chastise others for not knowing something. If I don't know it, I don't know it. No one is born with any knowledge, you have to learn everything. Some people don't learn some things. (Granted I do this too, although I try not to.)

Ok, then why would a cashier hand you coins with a note? Cashiers hand out receipts, which is why I assumed notes = receipts.
