Ok, just ran into this piece on Gamekult.com, stating that the US version of Fable even runs on our PAL machines. Somehow, they forgot to encrypt the code which makes it unplayable on the different region machines... Funny

yes, I'm playing the NTSC version on a PAL Xbox myself (good game, but KotOR is way better).

and I don't think they forgot the code either: There's many other codefree games: Sudeki, Unreal Championship, RtCW, XIII, Splinter Cell PT etc.
