What type of glue to use for plastic?

My Shure SRH750DJ headphones had an unfortunate run in with my 19 month old boy. He bent the plastic holding one of the speakers to the head mount, to the point that it snapped a bit, but not completely. So when I wear them, my right ear is really lose and doesn't keep an air-tight seal.

So what kind of glue could I use to fix this? It's hard plastic, but I want to make sure I get the right stuff. I doubt this is covered by warranty...

Crazy glue will work. It'll say on the label what it works on. Super glue/crazy glue/lock tite will work.

It'll say it sets in seconds, but its better to let it cure overnight so that it is less likely to crack the seal. And make sure you do it right the first time because if you screw it up, the glue won't hold as well once you glue over the same spot.

Any cyanoacrylate should work for that application. A two part epoxy would work as well and would be stronger than CA but for your headphones CA is probably easiest to use.

I should say so.

Good luck gluing that back together.

Loktite has a special super glue made for plastic, it works well most of the time if there is a decent area to fit together. However, I tried gluing some headphones myself and they eventually broke again because of the stress when putting them on my head.

If possible, try reinforcing the broken piece with a supporting piece of plastic if you don't care that much about looks. if you glue it together and then add a "bandage" across the side it should hold up no matter what.
