Metal Gear Solid V easily. A terrible Metal Gear game storywise, but it's stealth action perfection. That game was my life for like 4 months. That game just does so many cool things, and I still think about it every once and a while.

Transformers Devastation, Legacy of the Void, Undertale, Rocket League, and DMC4:SE are distant honorable mentions.

Top experiences that year for me were Bloodborne, Ori, Tales from the Borderlands and Undertale.

I have a hard time picking from those, I all love them equally. Have to say that Tales from the Borderlands really stuck with me the longest. Man was that an unforgettable and amazing experience.

MGSV. Bittersweet ending to my favorite series of all time, but it had an amazing run. Half an hour of frustration that was mission 46 will never take away from the staggering amount of joy I experienced for the 100+ hours leading up to that point. Still think a New Game+ system would do wonders for the game, but it doesn't look like we'll ever get it at this point. Fortunately, mods with similar features exist. Infinite Heaven, for example, takes this game to even greater heights by trimming some of the fat and focusing on what players want from the game. Probably my second least favorite Metal Gear Solid game, just above Snake Eater, yet a game I am still very fond of and have a great deal of love for.

I really enjoy Bloodborne as well. On a second playthrough at the moment. It's on par with Dark Souls III. I like the offense-first gameplay.

Have yet to beat Rise of the Tomb Raider but am currently playing it and having a good time with it as well.

Want to play Xenoblade Chronicles X. It looks very fun. Hopefully the rumors of a Switch port are true so that I can finally play it.

I wanted it to be MGS V, but the final product was kinda disappointing. Still a great game, but compared to the rest of the series it was a letdown (especially when it came to the story).
