What Would Be Considered Losing Your Virginity?

who knows, anymore?

yep, its just a word for highschool kids to use to boast to there friends.

in reality its two lesbians doing it under moon light being romantic as fuck, or in there bedrooms

wish i was burn a female lesbian

I'd have so much fun

In the past the male wouldn't even necessarily be considered a virgin, virginity is only asked/expected of the maiden upon copulation after a marriage ceremony.

In the past and in some modern cultures yes, but for most western cultures it's a milestone rather than an indication if this girl is worthy of marriage. "Going to the next level."

Lesbians seem to be getting a raw deal.

I mean for a straight couple its penetration and for a gay couple its penetration but for a lesbian couple its oral, if oral is loosing your virginity for lesbians it should be for everyone.

I see it two ways.

Oral is losing your virginity
Lesbians who have never had sexual penetration are virgins.

Id say any form of sexual stimulation that involves genitalia to the point of receiving a not self induced orgasm qualify's a loss of virginity

So let's sum it all up: it's when two people do take it as far as they can take it sexually.

For a straight man: penetrating.

For a straight woman: distinction between front and backside virginity. She can still technically claim "virginity" if she has the frontside.

For a gay man: penetrating or being penetrated.

For a gay woman: Oral, dildo or whatever.

no, cuz there are apparently more sexualities than that. it's like a rainbow yo.

It's generally a word given too much importance... contextually I'd say it simply could mean you either have or haven't had a significant sexual experience with another person.

What if a girl and boy did everything but vaginal and anal penetration? Is that still virginity?

To me, this is a very similar question to the "how can you have gay sex but not be gay?" thread. Rely on your own definitions and keep your nose out of everyone else's business.

As long as the other person sexually gratifies you it hardly matters. For most people it is important only because society says boys should lose it immediately and girs should hold it for true love/marriage.

We all love a good orgasm. So whatever.

They get the best deal, your forgetting how much more pleasure females have during sex than men, from the Gspot to the clitoris.. its mindblowing.

when lesbians start fingerbanging each other there gonna break that thingy and become non-virgins.

also females bleed when there thingy breaks, thats when they really lose there virginity.

Hymens can break during nonsexual activities, a woman can break her own hymen, some women are born without hymens. The hymen myth is just that.

It's an all too important milestone that people can't even come to an agreement on.

Yeah I guess. Prior to losing it, I always felt jealous and insecure about my other friends losing it before I did. Now it's whatever, but I kind of wonder what other people would consider it.

If you wake up naked next to someone in bed, you aren't a virgin. Even if it was only oral.
Wait, I have to sleep to lose my virginity? FUCK.

So, in the end, depending on who you are/sexual preference, you can 'lose your virginity' with anything involving your privates, with someone else's privates.

That's it, i've cracked it.

ok them, then a finger or two goes inside the vagina. or rubs the magic love bean.

I think virginity is more of a mental state than a physical one anyway.

For a straight dude, you definitely know when you've lost it. I'd assume it's the same for all other groups.

Yes.

From a technical standpoint? Yes.. still virgins.

You could have 1,000 hours of intense foreplay including ejaculation and still "technically" be a virgin.. or you could be a guy, who 2 pump chumped one girl in the dark. and had zero other sexual interactions, and not "technically" be a virgin.

So it's sort of a pointless designation in some ways.. unless.. you don't want it to be, then you are probably better off sticking to the "technical" definition, if you are straight at least. In communicating with someone else describing yourself as a non-virgin has a particular meaning.. my "contextual" point had more to do with the idea that homosexuals who don't engage in heterosexual sex will never "technically" not be virgins.. so the word becomes meaningless, or subjective.. so why not make it be subjective for straight people as well at that point?

What technical standpoint. There is none. It's a made up concept that doesn't even have roots in medicine.

I think it's because straight people like myself are lead to believe that it's supposed to be this life-changing magical experience that will make you a man/woman rather than what it really is:

A guy and a girl doing a lot of humping motions for a minute really awkwardly and nervously before the guy ejaculates way too early. (Yep, my first time.)

Assuming it doesn't completely suck, there is usually a significant change in your mental state before and after. You feel like you understand certain things better. That's how it was for me anyway.

If you're a straight male or female, penis in vagina.

If you're homosexual, it's obviously different.

FFS. Some of you are annoying as hell.

Obviously doing something different or new will change your perspective, but I don't think losing your virginity makes you into a man or a woman.

Mine completely sucked and my perspective still changed.

Vagina is this magical mystical, ethereal wonderland until you have some.

I think it's the only thing in the world that's horrible the first time you have it and amazing every time after.

My first time was pretty good thanks, i was well informed knew what i was doing and had a good time it lasted long enough everything went well.

I didnt feel different after really but still my first time wasnt terrible.

NeoGAF needs a "your first time" thread.

I simply meant in context with the original purpose of the word.

You can refer to eating a burrito as virginity if you choose, but these words do serve a purpose in communication.

Yeah, if you are trying to communicate your "status of ever having heterosexual sex", claiming you lost your virginity when you haven't penetrated a vagina, or had your vagina penetrated is going to confuse people.

So again, from an objective there is only really one original definition of the word.. I just see no problem with this word being used subjectively on occasion. And in general, the word, even objectively, is now considered to apply to multiple forms of sex, in context with your sexuality.

Lol you should definitely make one.

I wasn't uninformed, it was just that awkward sex. We actually had sex a few more times that day, and things did get progressively better, but yeah it didn't make me a man or a woman.

Oh is that what a vagina is used for? ffs

i lost mine about 12, i couldn't even jizz at the time, it just felt really fucking warm.

before that and years later it was strictly oral/handy work till i stuck it back in another chick this time i was shitfaced, i flopped after about 10 minutes. (2 bottles of 15percent wine)

american pie 2 sums up sex, when jim sticks it in that chick at the start of the movie hes like FORGOT HOW GOOD IT FELT.. or something.

I'm in the mood for some sex right now, going to sleep beside my girlfriend naked.. hopefully some sleep sex will happen during the night.

Good night fella's/girls.

All these sex topics have put me in the mood to bust a nut

For me having a sexual encounter is a reason enough for losing your virginity. Of course, penetration and everything is pretty much better but let's face it. If you have had a sexual encounter with someone, that lead to orgasms, you're pretty much aren't a virgin in the mindset anymore.

And yes, this is because I find the term 'technical virgin' such bullshit.

All of this.

Works.

The act of procreation is losing your virginty.
Only way to do that is penis in vagina.

Oral, anal, etc... are just pleasure acts.
