[Naked Snake]

I need a program to cut portions of full songs already in mp3 format and possibly re-encode them in lower bitrate to use as phone ringtones (for Nokia 6670). Any suggestions?

I use a registered version of GoldWave (http://www.goldwave.com) to edit MP3s and I love it, I highly recommend it. It's a nice little program that can do a lot, including re-encoding MP3s. I know that there is a fully-functional trial version available for download at their site.
