My stupid fucking little sister sat on my guitar and broke it, so I'm in need of a new one.. you guys know what kind of music I'm into... I want something that can sound as clear as Jonny Greenwood on "Subterranean Homesick Alien," yet can play "Sludgefeast" by Dinosaur Jr. all the same... I'm eyeing the Fender Jaguar, but that may be a bit too much... I have to take all of the money out of my bank account. Ugh. I'm so fucking pissed, that was my first guitar... uh.. I'm so mad... today has just been a terrible day.

Yeah, brand new it'll be a little over a grand, but if you go around your stores, there's bound to be one in (hopefully) good condition that's dropped in price a couple hundred.

Also, that sucks ass, if anyone broke my bass, I'd be in a severely bad mood for several, several weeks. You kinda grow emotional attachment to them. What kind of guit was it?

Jaguars are awesome, but if you're looking for versatility you might consider a strat. Personally I'd go for the Jag.
