That's my opinion of PopGAF and MMAGAF. They are damn near the same, except swap talking about "stans" with "cans."
I guess the best is either PoliGAF or MMAGAF, but I will forever remember the awesome Rock Band megathread and the community that had. But when I start thinking about that I remember Haley Williams Fridays and want to throw up.

NBA GAF. Wrestle GAF's pretty great too, but wrestlings too absurd to care about consistently, so we just get the concentrated gems as they come. If the old HBK thread counts, that adds a huge boost to their whole claim.
NBA GAF is perfect mix of engaging and ridiculous. The Miami Heat drama has been classic and in general its a hilarious group of posters when things ramp up.

Comics-GAF since it's extremely friendly to newcomers. Everyone is eager to provide comic recommendations to those trying to get into the hobby. No one is looked down upon for being new or lacking comics knowledge. People might bicker back and forth about the merits of Dan Slott's writing, or the Scott Lobdell era of DC Comics, but it's a friendly group overall.

Pop Gaf and Brony Gaf creep me out a little bit (a lot actually).
Anime Gaf is actually very friendly, and have done a good job of recommending good anime, but I feel like the standard answer when asking for a rec is "Cowboy Bebop". I'm like, c'mon, is there anyone on the plantet that watches anime and hasn't seen Cowboy Bebop?
Trans Gaf is super agressive (I can sorta understand why though), and seem only to be interested in the sociological concept of gender.
HipHop Gaf has too many Eminem fans. I mean, he's ok, his lyrics are alright if you like trainwreck sort of things, but his beats and production are standard for mainstream rap music. He also gets recommended at inappropriate times. I remember a thread where someone was asking for early rap artists, and everyone kept recommending Eminem and Golden Age (even though OP specifically said he wasn't looking for Golden Age).
Israel Defense Force Gaf is an absolute riot. Israel-themed threads are at the same time mind-boggling and hilarious.

That's not necessarily true. I like WrestleGAF and Black Culture GAF, even though I don't really participate in either.

For me obviously is LEGO-GAF. I get there all the news, the reviews are pretty solid and we tend to agree on what is good or bad on some sets. Also they do contests once in a while and i enjoyed the latest one that i partecipated.
