Hey guys, need a little advice.

The license on my Norton Firewall is running out and I don't feel like paying an annual fee. I've been checking out firewalls online and a lot of them point to ZoneAlarm as being the best free one. I tried installing it but a lot of websites would no longer load up all of the time (GAF included) and download speeds were cut down dramatically.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Sounds like configuration problems, not ZA software issues.

That being said, I've heard some props for Kerio Firewall.

You just need to find someone who wants to give away their old router after they upgraded to wireless. Either that, or else shop on the day after Thanksgiving and find one for "free" after mail-in-rebate.
