I went to Peter Lugers a few years ago. You must've made reservations months ahead of time. It's only the greatest steak house in this state.

Peter Lugers is the SHIT!!!!!

They have some of the best steaks I have ever eaten, and that sauce.. MMMMMM

1337 STEAK FTW!!

When I went on holiday to Florida I had the best steak ever. I can't recall the name of the restaurant but man, that steak was incredible.

I don't eat red meat like that, but the Filet Mignon I had @ L'amie Louis while in Paris was fucking heavenly. The bill was well over 600 Euros, but well worth it.

I got a Rib Eye at this place called Roy's in Hawaii. I was very satisfied.

600 Euros? Did you get a diploma? Do you get to live in this steak for a month?

:lol

It was 5 of us. The wine was expensive. No regrets tho (I didn't pay).

Never been to Ruth's Chris, but St. Elmo here in Indy is great, and you can get their "world famous" shrimp cocktail. It's amazing.

Oh, and stay away from Morton's. That place sucks.

I haven't been there yet, but I've heard that The Steak House at Circus Circus in Las Vegas, NV is supposed to have some of the best steaks in town. Anyone been?

I've never been to Ruth's Chris, Morton's, etc., and I don't like that most of those places charge extra for sides. I'd rather spend $50 on a good game. :) For prime rib, I do enjoy Lawry's The Prime Rib in Beverly Hills, but that's expensive, too.

Best steak and prime rib I ever had, though, was up in Montana at some mom & pop restaurant where the cattle being served could be seen right outside the window.

I have eaten at Peter Luger's three times and I have to say that I have found Spark's and Keane's to be far superior. Also, Luger's sides are awful...I am aware it isn't about the sides but the other two do the complete package (particularly Spark's) much better. Better wine list too I think. Not as if Luger's sucks though...

Home Grilled using an aluminum foil baggy filled with marinades and spices and what not. It was the tenderest steak I've ever eaten. And the smell, even before it went out to the grill it smelled angelic.

well, Warren Buffet sure seems to think that this place is amazing, and since he is the 2nd richest amn in the world, I will have to agree with him in some part, at least because the average plate really will never hurt your wallet while other steakhouses will leave your stomach full and your wallet empty.

Omaha steak... :)

I went to a place called Chart House for dinner once, and that steak would've gone over big in places where the people are Hindu. It was fucking GOOD.

the best steak i've ever had was in a japanese restaurant in calgary... the meat literally melted in your mouth, but not in a fatty way.

i have no idea how they made it but it's awesome

My fav is peter lugers. Bar none. Although I've been to Mortons and other famous ones - but the steak itself, I enjoyed PL's the most. Atmosphere and dining experience other than food itself is something else though - as PL's more down-to-earth, kinda crude atmosphere rather than a fine cusine dining with pretty flowers/plates on the table. ;) PL is an excellent steak house, but not a great date restaurant, IMHO. ;)

Vlados.
It's on Bridge road in Richmond (Melbourne). For $70AUD you get a sausage as your appitiser. Mini hamburgers, mini pork fillets, and mini eye fillets for entree. For your main steak you get a choice of Eye Fillet, or Porterhouse Steak, I usually get the porterhouse. Its about 750g I think, never actually asked.... Apprently the guy kills his own cows, keeps them for a year to tenderise the meat before cooking it for you.

One of the best steakhouses in the world. You also eat in front of this big picture of a cow.

You also get a side salad, but pffff rabbit food. Let the cows eat the green stuff.

I live in Chicago, arguably the best place for Steak in the US.

I think Smith and Wollenski's is my favorite, although Tavern on Rush is good too. The original Morton's is quite tasty as well.

As far as I know there are not many good steak houses in Dubai. There is once called the meat company which is quite good, but Im not too familair with any others.

Ruth's Chris. I've had steaks that were just as good (from a flavor standpoint) as what you get there, but they are never as hot, so Ruth's Chris FTW. That reminds me, I need to call them and make a reservation for this weekend for Valentine's day.
