When alcohol and game design are mixed...

Dunno what happens but this gen I have seen some of the most stupid ideas being brought to game...Not only ideas but also concepts, stories or characters.
Starting with Acclaim's BMX XXX, which seemed to be a product from a box of Jack Daniels then I also could see how Capcom turned the Onimusha series in some weird mix of french characters, time machines and the old Japan... And when I thought they had finished with it, then Sega joined the party with Shadow the HedgeHog.

Any other games that made you say WTF ???
 
Jak and Daxter going from predictable-yet-fun collectathon platformer to predictable-and-worthless Jak II has to be the worst decision made this gen on the software side of Sony. There's no way that could have come from someone sober.

I mean, what the hell were they thinking. I can't believe Sega actually followed their lead.

Well, actually, I can believe it.

No. That's when you want to see if people will overlook shitty level design just for the sake of Disney + Final Fantasy in one game.

I wonder what possessed Treasure to create that Stretch Panic title...very, very weird...unfortunately very poor, as well. On the other hand, Rakugaki Showtime was very weird, but very good and focused.

But thank god for shrooms and weed with games. How else would we have gotten Psychonauts or Katamari?

Mario... seriously, plummer saving the world by jumping and stepping on little mushroom-looking monsters ? Maio also gets "special abilities" after eating certain mushrooms too... MIYAMOTO WAS ON CRACK ! Next closest thing would be Earthbound, the design and dialogs in that game is just surreal.
 
You can just randomly walk into strangers houses in some old school RPG's and take people's without them getting mad about it. Sounds like the expectations of an intoxicated fellow if you ask me.
