After the news of Pokemon Gen 10 being released of 2027 instead of 2026, I saw discussion of a new 3D Mario being released in 2026, so I felt to make a poll about it.

If it's not this year, it will be no later than 2027. Nintendo wants another surefire system seller, and Mario games always sell.

Nintendo is probably done with Mario games for a while. Perhaps they'll launch a GAAS with Mario skins but that's about it.

I do actually think it will be this holiday now, and that's why Pokemon is 2027. They've rushed Pokemon out to hit the holiday release date before, the only reason it makes sense really to not do it now is that they have another big game that targets the same quadrant. The only thing remotely comparable to mainline Pokemon is 3D Mario.

It's been almost ten years since Odyssey so they should have it ready for the end of this year. There's no way that they'd solely rely on DK. Mario is the system seller.

I'd be shocked if it didn't come, unless they chose to have a 2D Mario instead and then 3D in 2027.
