I'm trying to get FFX-2 to a 100% completion rate on the first place through, which is damn near impossible. So I'm following this one FAQ and the guy tells me a certain part is option. 20% later in the game, after I'm WAYYY past where I did the 'optional' part, I find out that I can't do something very very needed. Turns out it wasn't optional.

God dammit... the worst part is that I really can't bitch that much, either, because I'm the asshole that doesn't go out and drop the 15 bucks on the game guide.

argh! karma is all it is... let he who is the cheapest ass get dicked the hardest.

so needless to say, as bad as many of you think the game is, i'm never going to get a 100 percent completion on it. I want to, but lets face it... it's wayyyy too much bullshit to go for. And I'd just like to say that this is one of the games on the PS2 where the VA is top notch, actually. Love the game or hate it (which most of you do), the VA is good. Even rikku's voice is exactly as it's supposed to be: annoying to the point that it drives me to punch people to release my anger.

PS: Don't fret too much, it sucks. Killing Trema(toughest optional boss in game) on the bottom of the 100-story dungeon was kind of a rush though.

got the PM.... thanks but it's not burning me THAT much. I wanted to see the ending but i'm not gonna cry. it's just one of those really annyoing moments.

I've got a new game + saved somewhere, too, I think. I'll do some digging around for that. Maybe set it so I can get most of my dress spheres mastered this time.

when you go find lian and ayde in the thunder plains, and you can send them somewhere, the FAQ i was going by said it didn't matter but he sent them to kilika. I thought i'd be original and sent them to the moonflow.

then when it came time to go through all that commsphere bullshit, I should have been at a full percent higher than it said I was at.

Took me 5 playthroughs to get 100% on the Japanese version..New Game+ is there for a reason. 2 playthroughs isn't that bad compared to 5.

uh I recently felt the same when I did 100% on Metroid Prime 2 just to see a shitty bonus clip that lasted 2 extra seconds.

I was following a gamefaqs guide, and they messed up one of the missile expansions so I had to wander for extra hours.

Not really the 'proper' ending, but rather the one that shows an obsessive and delusional Yuna who can't let go, and that reflects an obsessive fan.

Gah just download it, I couldn't get why my sister wanted to get 100% and then later found the FAQ was wrong about something. From what I've seen, it's not that special really. Then again, I'm not the type to often completely beat games.

You know though, the greater benefit of getting 100% are seeing the things you missed out the first time through. Not everyone gets to see Yuna in the Moogle suit before YRP intervenes with fake Yuna, or the silly hot springs moments, stuff like that. That within itself is much, much more worthy than the silly FMV ending.

You know though, the greater benefit of getting 100% are seeing the things you missed out the first time through. I agree! There's just so much to see and it's so varied and fun that that alone makes it worth trying to see it all.

Anyways, I can see why many would dislike FFX-2, it's way too campy for a lot to get into. But I liked that, it brought a return of the quirkiness in FF that I actually enjoyed in the series. If it wasn't for IX I really would feel the series had gone for a turn to melodramatic angsty teens. X-2 has its moments, and the battle system is one of the bests even of the main series. It's the fastest I've played, and along with the in battle job changes, which I must add included a lot of variety, the game was pretty damn refreshing. It actually took a game I hated (FFX) and turned the same world into something I actually found enjoyable.

THANK YOU! Man, I've said that to all my friends and they just call me gay. I understand that Rikku is annoying as shit with her "Owwieee" shit, and Brother with his stupid Nsync stuff. But the battle system, by the time you're in Chapter 5 is actually really cool, starting out with 2 dark knights and a songstress and switching to all black mages by the end, shit like that. The only people I find that hate it are people that got to the first chapter and quit.

But not I! I have persevered where so many have fallen...
