Honestly how can anybody think they're any sort of 'elite' when they're cosplaying anime characters.

;
I know this guy who's going to E3 because he joined a group called something like 'elite ps2' owners. They gave him a card and everything. He only got a PS2 months ago though and just wants to go to E3 and the focus groups that 'elite group' attends. :lol
It has to do with the whole idea that you have the attractive cosplayers who have badass costumes, versus the non-attractive wannabees who can't seem to put a costume together for their lives. It's like in any social gathering, you have the "popular" ones and the "immitators" trying to be "popular". My friend (the one dressed in the Black Rose costume), made a good analogy about the whole elite thing. All the "knowns" are just actors in a play, everyone who takes the cosplay society seriously views them as the stars of the show. You should see the way some of these people act, and how some people act towards them. Cosplay is a strange world -- I only do it because my friends think I look good in the costumes she makes, and she like the attention she gets when people ask her about us. Otherwise, I think the whole l33t shit is incredibly strange.

I think I've seen that Aerith before.
She dresses like Aerith at every con because it's the only costume she has.

She's been Aerith for a good 3-4 years now at the least.
