Where is Nintendo and Sony today?

Nintendo is basking in the glory of its successful online service, and Sony is waiting patiently, ready to do to MS what it did to Sega.

So nothing out of the ordinary, really.

Why would they say anything now? Any negative propoganda they can direct on the 360 would fall deaf on the hardcore gamer's ears. It would have zero, zilch, nada, effect.

Nintendo released this today. 360 hype has been squashed.

Sony and Nin probably want the xbox to sell out so everyone buys psone, pstwo, psp, DS, and gameboy from now to christmas. It's next years holiday season they have to worry about.

Nintendo == 3:00 am Eastern Time.

What would mentioning Zelda mean? It's not Halo 3 or the next GTA and this isn't 1998 so get real... :lol

lol. The gap between Halo 2 and Zelda: WW was only about 2 million or so, and that was with WW's goofy, dumb look. Zelda is just as popular as Halo. Believe.

2 million is quite a bit

The Zelda series has sold over 36 million worldwide, and has been around for over 20 years.

People are honestly claiming it's not as popular as Halo?

UK grammar, while strange and daring and alien to us yanks, is still correct. ;)

as an Englishman, living in the UK, I'm possibly setting myself up for some ownage, but still...

Surely it should be "where ARE Sony and Nintendo today?" as together, Sony and Nintendo are more than one thing, plural, so they are an ARE?

Halo is more popular right this instant, but in 10 years we will be talking about zelda, while halo will just be a footnote of gaming history, buried by numerous fps franchises.

I've seen this analogy some where before.

while PS2 is 100 laps a head of GC and xBox, xBox claims victory over GC for the 50 meters lead :lol

It might be just as well known as Halo, but right now Halo is the more popular franchise.

They've got other systems to take care of at the moment.
Define 'take care'. Part of 'taking care' of a system is making sure people buy your system instead of the competition.

In the US we refer to companies as a single entity. Just like a human being is made up of various cells we still refer to a person in the singular.

Yes. That's correct, even in America.

Where's Nintendo today? I don't know. But I know where Miyamoto is (at least an interview of him)

Click this link if you're interested in seeing my on-camera interview with him. Shot in September. Went live on MTV Overdrive today. You have to click "play" once the link loads up.

Enjoy!

That was the least subtle site plug I've ever seen. :lol
