I need some updates on what's going on with anything along the line of Nintendo DS + PDA integration ! I remember that whole V-Pocket thing... so what's going on with it now ?

PS: Also, is there a rumour that Nintendo is releasing some sort of DS SP in the near future ?

A New design is going to be shown off at E3 me thinks, I think the "V-Pocket" thing will never happen, although a PDA might, we'll have to wait and see its only 130 days till E3.

What was V-Pocket supposed to be anyway?

I hope if we see DS SP that the two screens are closer together. I'd really there was 3/16 of an inch or less between them, just a thick black line really, but I doubt that would be feasible in a clamshell design. Would be great for vertical shooters and puzzle games though. Would also make for a slightly better format for PDA software.

Depending on what this DS SP offers...

If it's smaller, I won't even bother

If it's a change similar to GBA -> GBA SP then hell yes I will get one

I assume it would be smaller with screens similar to GBA SP2.

I'm guessing this will never happen because any game that is currently programmed using both screens for the view won't look right on the new system because the distance between the screens won't match what the game was programmed to account for.

my ds purchase is riding on how soon they'll release a redesign or not.

I do not have a DS (yet ?), but a redesign of the DS (for the better) plus PDA functions such as events manager/calendar would 100% convince me to get one

If they add the PDA, I will get one just to take it to work everyday and actually use it as a productivity product.
