Which company has the strongest IPs?

Capcom EASILY.

Resident Evil
Marvel vs Capcom
Street Fighter
Megaman
Devil May Cry
and MANY more

The only problem is they treat them like dog shit.

Pretty much this, holy shit they have so many IPs, next up is fucking Sega, they already have a few PG IPs from just the past few years this generation.

I don't think it'd be easy to formulate a set of objective and explicit criteria according to which Nintendo and Activision/Blizzard are not in the first place :-/ The rest of the pack comes after them. Obviously people have different tastes (me too btw), but I think if any CEO of a large publisher could choose to have all the IP of any single company, these would be the top two choices.

Quality wise Sony.

This is just a pet peeve but "quality" does not equal "personal taste". Why can't people just say "I like Sony best"? Because that's exactly what you wrote means, nothing else.

Sales wise EA/Rockstar/Microsoft.

No, it's Activision/Blizzard. This is something that can be measured objectively, so why do people still bother with pulling stuff out of their ass?

Capcom.

They have so many current IPs and then dormant ones from the early days that if remade with quality, would enslave many old-school gamers like myself.

I'd seriously throw my panties at the mention of a remake of Gun Smoke, Forgotten Worlds, Trojan or Legendary Wings before I even saw a picture of them.

Like Sega, some of those IPs aren't really that strong sales-wise. Megaman franchise sales across close to 130 skus is only a little higher than the sales of a single Call of Duty or New Super Mario Bros title.

Street Fighter, MvC, and Devil May Cry have been solid sellers this gen, but nothing spectacular.

Capcom's big guns are Resident Evil and Monster Hunter. Both of which are lower sellers than Acti-Blizz's big four (COD, Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo), and would have been mid-range sellers for Nintendo this past generation.

Despite the fact Capcom pisses me off to no end, I look at my shelf and I see their games more than anyone else's.

Devil May Cry
Resident Evil
Street Fighter
Lost Planet
Marvel vs Capcom
Dino Crisis
Onimusha

So for me, it's Capcom.

As mentioned above, Sony rules where first party IP's are concerned. I don't care for Nintendo so...

...Dino Crisis? hahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

im ok with the rest , but if youre going to list DC then at least give Powerstone some love sheeeeesh...fuckin Dino Crisis....
