Which modern game is made specifically for gamers in-mind?

There are Elden Ring, Fallout 4, and Skyrim I need to continue...these games are so massive, maybe I should rush through them...so many game systems to learn
I'm now playing MHWorld, Deus Ex Mankind Divided and TOTK
That's a lot of huge game. With MH and Tears of the Kingdom alone you'll be busy for weeks or months

Ocarina of Time
Valfaris: Mecha Therion
Kill Knight
Robo Quest
Nex Machina
Geometry Wars 3
Lonely Mountains Downhill
Sekiro
Armored Core 6
Half Life: Alex
Bayonetta 1/2/3

Baldur's Gate 3 for sure. It really reminded me of how games used to be back in the days. Made by gamers, for gamers - not just some greedy shit corporation chasing money and the latest trends.

What was the big change for casuals?
I mean like what's more of a core-gaming thing - AC Shadows vs something like Returnal
Modern games tend to appeal to more people which also include casual players, so gameplay mechanics are more designed to appeal to more people, I don't think Returnal or Eternal is like that, I see it that way.

If by that you mean essentially gameplay-first, no Cinematic Movie Game shit then I nominate Returnal.

That game is tight as fuck, endlessly replayable (imo) and shines on every level. It's more like an arcade shooter in 3D form.

Games that are not impacted for gameplay design in the beggining of the development, to appeal to casual gamer audience
Ok, I get it. So I guess not Candy Crush... I was confused because "gamers" isn't a monolithic group... "gamers" by your definition here is still a specific subset of gamers.

DCS World
Gray Zone Warfare
Dwarf Fortress

These examples go even a step further and into a specific subset of hardcore gamers.
