What was the name of that basketball game on the NES where you had to run around punching your opponent out in order to steal the ball?

oh... the memories... wasn't there a green mohawked guy in this game too? and you can dive and pull the ppl's shorts down? heh...

+1 on a remake... just so you can sling chrome and steal the ball by cappin' someone gansta... and throw as many rappers as you can in the game...

I don't recall punching anyone in NBA Jam; although it's been a while since I played the series.

Yeah, there was punching in NBA Jam, but there was no soda or popcorn box to trip over like in AR.

What about that NES baseball game where all the players are robots and they can fight each other and stuff? What was that called? Basebots or something? We need an update of that game.

Arch Rivals on the Midway collections is pretty fun... of course, it was basically just a precursor to NBA Jam (which was 10X better, up until the most recent PS2 game... ick).

I thought it was an Acclaim game, not Midway?

*goes and checks*

edit: Indeed it was, did Midway buy it at the Acclaim fire sale, or am I missing something?

Okay, here's a second question- what nes game was about tryign to become a millionare playboy ? it was set up like a graphic adventure in some ways , I just can't think of the name at all.

Around that time, Acclaim was the company that published all of Midway's arcade ports. I believe that was the case starting at least as early as Narc in 1989 up until one of the later Mortal Kombat games was released (MK4?), although I also recall Acclaim bought the NBA Jam license at some point too... or maybe they just released that crap update for PS2 and Xbox to spite Midway.

Wall Street Kid, I believe.
