IF YOU LIKE PINA COLADAS!

Watched Dirty Work recently....

Kavinsky Night Call

Yea, you pretty win the thread. I saw somebody mention 'Real Hero', which is great, but if you've seen Drive and enjoyed the soundtrack, its cuz of 'Nightcall'.

This song doesn't just stick in your head. It dictates your emotions. It puts you in a different place than you actually are. I just got back from the store listening to this song and its nighttime and I'm a big driving enthusiast, so I had both hands on the wheel, shifting manually on my 5-speed gearbox. I'm seriously transported to somewhere else. Not that I'm out of my mind, but this movie and song have somehow invaded my brain and have turned a normal driving experience into a functional trance-like state. Its brilliant.

Also, the other day I was hanging out with my ex, who I still like and who still likes me, but we both know its totally wrong, and we were listening to 'Under Your Spell' and we just sat there bobbing our heads together. I dont think she quite felt the movie like I do, but that song still felt totally appropriate for the moment. I loved that she knew to just be quiet during the movie, too.

But today, there's been another song that I cant stop humming:

Its metalcore, but its incredibly catchy. Its also video game themed. A Day To Remember: You Be Tails, I'll Be Sonic.

And another metalcore song I'm a bit addicted to:

Eyes Set to Kill - Broken Frames. Its almost pop-like how catchy it is. But the girls in the band are just so gorgeous:

Hyadain – Hyadain no Kakakata Kataomoi

...have been listening to this for days, didn't know the guy does all of the voices until today, including the female voice with the girl lip synching....still catchy and genki.

Welcome To The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance.

If that isn't replaying over and over in my head then it would be Glasgow Kiss by John Petrucci instead.

I must admit, "Teenage Dream" and "Last Friday Night" were hugely ingrained into my head for quite a while.

I have nothing against Katy Perry. She's hot and while she may not be the sole songwriter, she's not a Britney Spears sort who just sings whatever is put in front of her like so many pop artists.

GAF's gonna hate me, but I have Brokenhearted by Karmin stuck in my head. I don't even care about the lyrics.

I also have Firefly by Childish Gambino stuck in my head.

Hey man, you're just a real human being
and a real hero
.

Damn that movie is just embossed into my brain. As if it was made for me.

I will not drive criminals to and from robberies. I will not drive criminals to and from robberies. I will not drive criminals to and from robberies.

It's okay, bro. I still blast the Drive soundtrack whenever I drive.

Anything with Pitbull. Fucker is all over the place in the radio here.

"Mr. Worldwide!"
"Mr. Worldwide!"
"Mr. Worldwide!"

Hispanic-GAF will probably know this: Romeo Santos-Llevame contigo

I know that dude, last October me thinks, yep, I went to this radio station gig in Mexico and the main band to be on stage was 30 Seconds to Mars, so as my bro is great fan of such band and I don't find it bad, he got tickets for such gig, we got there and saw a couple of local bands and singers, some were AWFUL, and some others not too much. But man, I swear, every time the hosts said 'Romeo Santos' the fucking venue felt like it was about to fall into pieces because all the crowd was absolutely excited to see this fella, I don't like his music AT ALL; but I swear I was with my jaw to the floor when the dude came up to the stage (before 30 Seconds to Mars) and woah! all the ppl there (well almost lol) were singing each and every one of his songs! It was craaaaaaaazy creepy.

Such a pity, after this guy's show most of people left and very few stayed to see 30 Seconds to Mars, and it was such a great show with mariachis and fans on stage and all. Anyways! Had to tell this story LOL.

In other news, I can't stop listening thisssss Ensiferum - Smoking Ruins

Right now, David Byrne & Fatboy Slim - Why Don't You Love Me? feat. Cyndi Lauper & Tori Amos
Don't know why I hadn't really listened to this album when it came out, but I've been listening to it a fair bit at work today and I keep coming back to this one. I'm kind of a whore for Tori though.

For the past week though, more than anything else I've been listening to and playing in my head Ingrid Michaelson's Black and Blue.

And as a bonus, while driving home today I started singing to myself Chris Remo's Space Asshole.

Rolling in the deep.

Thanks a fucking lot, coworkers. I didn't care or mind that song at all, but listening to infinite replays of it during weeks has changed my stance to it.
