Never heard of them, where do I start?

I had thought it would be more ideal for this to be in a new thread on the band itself, but since so few are interested in them these days, it doesn't hurt to give a brief rundown here.

They started out as a shoegaze lite/noise pop hybrid back in 1991 in the same cohort of alternative UK bands such as Lush, Ride, and of course My Bloody Valentine, but with an added twist of some industrial and goth elements and their main vocalist being female, something of rarity in the UK hard rock scene back then. This was what made them famous during 91-92, as such their second album Doppelganger (released literally 20 years ago) is the best starting point, where shoegaze, goth, and industrial genres were equally represented. Choice cuts include Horror Head (from above ), Fait Accompli, and Doppelganger.

From there it gets a bit more difficult because their style and sensibilities went into certain contradictory directions. The best choice after Doppelganger, considering current tastes, would be Gift, their 2001 album. It combined their shoegaze and industrial background with a more modern electro-pop, maybe even adult alternative, aesthetic

After that it's tossup between more parochial preferences. If you desire a rawer, more industrial and punk edge, go for their 1993 album Cuckoo. If you want to hear an decent, underrated, and overlooked breakbeat album, 1998's Come Clean would be it. Or if a more morose and subdued taste is more of interest, 2002 's New Adventures of Curve fits that bill.
