Well it's a complicated story but in basic terms, it's a dysfunctional family that owns a housing firm. The father is the owner of the company but he's sent to jail for I forgot what (some illegal practice). The only son who's somewhat normal is put in charge of the firm. The family lives in a "demo" house and they're all stuck under the same roof (the "sons" are all in their thirties i believe).
It's like Seinfeld but with a story (hard to explain that but that's how it is).
It's on Mondays at 8pm on FOX. Don't expect a typical dumb type comedy, the jokes require some form of intelligence to get because they're subtle and there's no laugh track.

This reminds me of the scene where George Michael watches the HBO Oz thinking it was the movie instead. :lol
And isn't really like Seinfeld. AD is definitely better than the first few seasons of Seinfeld, however it remains to be seen whether or not it can be as good as the latter half of Seinfeld which was pure genius. AD might not even get past season 3 because most people are retarded and don't watch this show so we may never find out.

All of the commercials have been terrible.
You guys that don't watch it/haven't watched it/refuse to watch it make those of us intelligent enough to watch this show and enjoy it cry.
AD isn't your mainstream sitcom where jokes are spoonfed to you without having to put any thought into them.
AD's greatest strength, unfortunately is also it's weakness. It's a show that forces you to pay attention, to remember what is going on and to rewatch it several times to get everything out of the episode because you're laughing so hard you end up missing things and other jokes. Unfortunately, most people don't like to try and invest time into such a thing. Even going back now and rewatching Season 1 & 2 episodes after they've all been watched, they become even funnier the 2nd, 3rd and 4th times around because you end up catching jokes you didn't in previous viewings. AD does something called "foreshadowing", where there will be subtle references made to a future happening in the story, for example

Its the best show on TV of course I watch it.
seen a few episodes, was amusing, mostly only watched it because it was on before/after malcolm in the middle or something but then I got bored and stopped watching either.
the reason no one (that I know) gave it a chance is because there was this series of shows that all got put after malcolm that tried to copy it but sucked balls and were quickly canceled, so when this show came around into that same time slot, it was assumed to be right along with those other shows. I think one of them was called 'The Pitts,' and it was.
This all assumed I'm thinking of the right show, which I'm not entirely sure I am, I don't remember the show at all so I'm mostly going by the fact that david cross was mentioned to figure out which show this is.

I don't want this religiously, but I know someday I'll torrent the eps along with Curb Your Enthusiasm. I've watched both for a bit and liked it, just the schedule really sucks for me.
