Don't make much sense Tony Stark being smart because Disney want him to be. Remember, inside Marvel universe are tons of high smarter people with somehow are outsmart by Tony Stark in Avengers 3. Look how Tony feels superior between any other intelligent char on Avengers 3, but behaves like an idiot on Avengers 1 trying to face Thor solo.

Bruce in the other hand is not only intelligent, but smarter at the point of exploring their enemies weakness and make strategies based on his own limitations.
