Hotdamn... Josh and Will rockin' out with the cow bell. Insane. Of course I predicted this would happen, as I noticed that QOTSA would play, Farrel was going to be on, and the cow bell is so blatant in Little Sister. I called it!

I almost missed it, had the tv on and could hear the song, but wasn't watching. And one I remembered that it was Little Sister they were playing...with all that cowbell sound, I thought.....hmmm....AND BAM, COWBELL WAS NEEDED AND DELIEVERED.

Not really, I don't think anyone gave a shit about that Pat O'brien crap.

Oh crap... I've had SNL on in the background, and I just happened to turn my head to see one of those SNL splash screens with the celebrity host after they come back from commercial, and it was Will Ferell smiling and grinning, his hands on the shoulder of the mother and father of some Asian family with two little girls. I can't explain it, but it was friggin' hilarious.

Stern goofed on it every day for 3 weeks. Hell, they still play some of the song parodies.

Did you notice how nervous or just how bad his opening was...

He basically had a pump to make it look liked he pissed... but he was moving his right arm so tight that he opened his jacket to reveal the pump, he tried to put his hand in his pants pocket and revelaed the plastic tube... he screwed up big-time!

He was so stiff with his arm and by showing the pump, I thought he would just say... "ok it's a pump, I am nervous" and skip the whole bit... very bad...

...you make it sound like everything has to go perfectly for it to be "funny". Hell, I thought his apparent trouble with the pump was far more entertaining than "OMG HE PEED!".

On the whole, the episode was good. Good musical guest, good weekend update (For once the Amy/Tina interaction was actually really funny, and they seemed very natural for a change.), and a couple of good skits (Celebrity Jeopardy was really quite good, the formula still works).

I'm impressed that they refrained from parading out past Ferrell characters one by one. Goulet and Jeopardy were the only real skits that were directly taken, and the rest of the show never really became terrible. There were some weaker skits, mind you, but nothing made me think "This is the worst episode of SNL ever". I like episodes that don't make me think that.

We'll see how next week turns out...Lohan was impressive, relatively, as host last time, so we'll see how she and a good musical guest work out this time around.

The only problem with the Jeopardy episode is that they put in Sharon Osborne. I think having Ozzy there would've provided a lot more funny moments.
